New Chanel Purchase Limit Policy

From what I hear these purchase limits are very strict and no exceptions are allowed.
I agree with what people have said about some collections being amazing and you want to purchase multiple bags if they are even available (fashion & classics) from that collection. It makes you double think each purchase, not only due to cost, but also if you want that particular bag/SLG to count towards your limit for the month/year.

Excuse my ignorance, but are classic flaps considered to be "icons"? Does that mean we can not purchase more than 6 cfs per year?
Yes that's correct. When they say "icon" instead of "classic flap" or "mini" or whatever they want, they can change the definition of "icon" on the fly. The boy didn't used to be an icon, and now it is. Feeling like luxury yet?
OH MY GOSH….I don’t know what the Chanel game is any more and I certainly don’t know how to “play” said game! I have had enough- I think I am going to have to buy in the resell market and pay more because honestly, I can not even get to see an iconic bag let alone choose to buy it from a boutique. This “hard” to get making it “exclusive” is ludicrous - newsflash-People from all walks of life have money to spend that we are not privy to- so Chanel needs to chill with goosing their perfect definition of exclusivity! Do you maybe know if the purchases made in the US are visible to EU/UK stores? I know that UK has a similar rule (one bag every 60 days) but I wonder if they would see my US purchases over there...

Regarding a max of 6 icons a year, do we think all the below would now be considered icons?
- All sizes classic flap
- Including rectangular mini
- Including square mini
- All sizes Le Boy
- All sizes Coco Handle
- Chanel 19?
If the above is true, I wonder if the Trendy would be added to the list soon or if it already is.
I think icons are currently only defined as bags that you get with white dustbag - so that means double flapped cf and reissue that are size small and up. Of course they can change this definition in the future.
I just picked something up at Neiman Marcus, and when wanting to look at a few things, they mentioned that I couldn’t buy another bag until next month. They said it was a new policy, 1 bag and 1 SLG per month, that this came into effect last week. Not quite sure if it was just for this particular store.
Yes. Why I am surprised was for the last 8 months, I have been allowed to buy two bags per month (up to 12 in one year) which seemed to be a consistent rule among the 6 boutiques I have purchased from, even 3 with manager approval. I have been denied a few times but because I met the two. But, now it’s 1 bag.
