I don't understand why some people think the response to the OP was too harsh? She said something rude about LV users in the LV forum! Obviously she's gonna get backlash! What did y'all expect us to do? Cheer her on and send her an Edible Arrangement???

Moral of the story:

Don't let women call other fellow women "trash." Don't let anyone call anyone else "trash."

Simple.

I sympathize for you, OP. Everyone jumped on you, whether it was called for or not.

Though I might be one of those people you'd hate to see while I carry my Neverfull (and that's your right), I worked hard for my bag, it makes me happy, and it's such a great bag. I sometimes wear some pretty damn short shorts! But, I worked hard for my nice butt, it makes me happy, and it's such a great ass! But even if everyone else had a great rear end like mine, I would never sell it.

Girl! I love your tongue in cheeks post [emoji23][emoji23][emoji23]

@applecidered I share your lack of love for the NF. But... just to clarify, Louis Vuitton bags have been "mass produced" for decades. Only the trunks and special pieces are made in the romanticized Louis Vuitton atelier in Asnières. However, mass production has nothing to do with the level of quality.

Here are some thoughts about this thread:

For many years now, the NF has been a huge success for Louis Vuitton, and with success comes a flooded market. What is one to do? I can't dump my iphone or my new beetle just because others own them!

It's interesting that OP bought a NF, and fell out of love with it once she saw it on people she does not want to be associated with or that she does not want to be identified with. Obviously, the people she encountered at the mall that day did not meet her expectations of whom should or should not be carrying a NF. Therefore, her own self-image was affected, she did not want to be "one of them." It goes back to the idea that we dress to signal that we belong to a tribe (the myth of "I dress for myself" is a total illusion), and nothing is more unsettling than seeing our "codes" adopted by other "tribes." Today, these codes---used to communicate our ideal self to the world around us---reside primarily in handbags, shoes, and accessories because even most wealthy people have adopted the fast-fashion menu for clothing (how often do you see a lady wearing a Zara dress with an expensive handbag and designer shoes? That's the new norm!).

And just a reminder OP: we are always someone else's "basic b*tch" !

My favorite post in the thread.

I wear one of my husband's Harley Davidson t-shirts and my Walmart jeans that have burn holes from my exhaust pipe on them when I shop at the two exclusive malls in ATL, so I will not get robbed. I also drive my VW instead of my Mercedes when I shop there because of the number of car jackings in the area lately. I look like I stepped out of a trailer when I shop, and I carry Whole Foods shopping bags if I am going to buy things from Tiffany, Cartier, or Louis Vuitton, so I don't have to walk around with their shopping bags. You never know what the person you see may really be like. I get that you wish that the things you work so hard for were more exclusive, but they aren't. In the motorcycle world you may see someone riding a 50 k custom bike who lives in a shack for a house. It's what they choose to spend their money on.

Why should she have to? We may not like her comments but she is entitled to state them and there are so many nasty, nasty comments that are also offensive about her. It's a lose/lose.

That was written days ago and was referring to all the very nice posts to her including mine about being sure of you you are and not worrying about others. Yes at this point it wouldn't accomplish anything for her to post. And no I disagree, not she nor anyone else is not entitled to call anyone else trash.

Cartier gives out plain white bags to carry your purchases in. At least they do in France.

IMG_0962.jpg I hear YA! It's all about the ride. Live and Let Live. When you ride it is best to stay in your own lane, you might get ran over. That's my bike by the way!

I couldn't agree more. And my comment was removed due to "nastiness" when I only said that the op can sell her NF and buy the most expensive Birkin ever sold if she wants exclusivity when the OP's comment was the one that is nasty.

This is interesting because I actually walked into a Mercedes dealership today to sign for a car wearing my free half marathon t-shirt, shorts and flip flops. I wanted to see if they would judge me by my "cover" and treat me differently. Luckily, they were very nice and got a sale out of me. ;)
lucky. I have gotten the stink eye from BMW and Merc. Another reason why I like porsches ;)

Huh that's weird. I've said things worse and I've been fine, no profanity though. I wonder why that happened.

The OP's comments should have been deleted in the first place, not the comments of those angry at her for saying something offensive.

So true, I'm in the SF Bay Area. And the only thing I think when I see someone else with a Neverfull is "That woman has taste!" and usually we share a smile. Someone else having the same bag doesn't diminish mine in any way. I enjoy it for me, not for any sort of status or image it might give me. I just love my bags!!!

Really? That's all you said? No profanity or anything? Geez, I need to be more careful then...

yup and I thought it was funny too lol but they got offended and considered it "nasty". Weird. Yes we need to be careful.

True that this entire thread/ drama should be deleted. We're all here to express our love or sometimes hate for purses and not to judge other women who love their LV purses just because of how they look or dress.
