Good going on ripping off the band aid on an old wound.
I definitely don't agree with the comments made by the OP post, however, I also don't agree with the "bashing" or "she got what she deserved"
The thread reminds me of a school yard fight: a kid commits a verbal offense, Learning of the offense, the majority of the kids in the school yard team up against and attack the first kid, then demand the kid stand up and fight. SMH

Oh boy I knew this thread was not going to go well.

I am thinking probably a good portion of the Neverfulls (and Speedys) in the wild are fake; they are the most popular styles for LV and target for counterfeit. There are some good fakes and unless you get to closely examine some of them, at a glance it would difficult to tell. Of course there are obvious fakes but some are not so obvious on just on a walk by

But probably a better way to approach this would have been to just say everyone and their mother has a Neverfull and nixed the "trash" comment. I think if that were the case, you might have gotten more relevant feedback. Reminds me of the Sex and the City episode where Samantha saw what she called a "nobody" carrying a Birkin while she was wait listed.

Does anyone really care?????
FFS it's a flipping bag! And if there are so many of them floating around the good old US of A maybe it's because they are a fab bag and people like them! :-)
Being a Mulberry girl I'm just considering branching out by purchasing a neverfull, should I reconsider? As I seem to spend a lot of my time looking like I've been dragged through a hedge backwards, usually by a dog or horse maybe I don't fall into the correct bracket.... ;-) lol
I'll get my coat now...... tee hee x

So, a friend of mine is going to have a major surgery tomorrow. At some point, her entire kidney is going to be removed and then put back again. She has already had three botched ones within the last three months because her condition is extremely rare.

She carries a Coach legacy bag. I cant think of the name right now. But, it's gorgeous. Her husband surprised her with it one day.

You know what else? The Neverfull is also a great bag. Different sizes, different exterior prints/materials and different interior colors to pick from. It just slings right across your shoulder and molds to it with loving use. It also looks great carried in the crook of the arm (3 kids, i cant seem to ever carry my bag this way) or just hand carry. I love the clean lines and simplicity.

It's a bag. A wonderful one. But, just a bag at that. There are more bigger things in this world to be fighting over and concerned over. I think we've already covered what went wrong in this thread. Let's just remember to be kind to each other because you never know what the person you're "e-arguing" (i like that term!) with might be dealing with.

I'll try to make this rant short... Yesterday I was at the international mall in Tampa fl... I literally counted 30+ Neverfulls, and I lost track of how many speedy' sand other LV bags [emoji20]

The range of women were from business women, soccer moms, young single girls, and a staggering amount of trash (idk how else to describe it, but everyone has an idea of what trash looks like)... Anyways it got so bad that even my husband stated to point them out.

I've always loved the Neverfull, my casual kinda throw around bag, but after yesterday I kind of want to sell it. I've heard it referred to as "the basic b*tch bag", which has always bothered me because 1000$ for a bag is anything but basic in my opinion, I work damn hard for my bags [emoji58] & YouTube hasn't helped at all!!

I know I'm all over the place, I'm just trying to express my annoyance, it's hard for me to enjoy LV at all anymore because it's everywhere, and it clearly doesn't represent class anymore. My husband says to branch out into other brands, has anyone else done this for the same reason??

I was actually just having this exact same conversation with my best friend and I 100% agree with you. I am so bored by LV mostly because I see the same two bags everywhere and I know they make much more interesting pieces than the speedy and the neverfull so the only conclusion that I am left with is that if you don’t really have any taste and you just wanna carry an expensive bag that’s what you buy now.

As Busby would say, splashy entry!

How strange you were having the EXACT conversation on a really old thread/topic. Weird because I just saw a lady yesterday in a store carrying a mono NF and my thought was cool an LV sighting. Your “conclusion” never even entered my mind. But I’m sure all the people who like and carry the NF appreciate that you just insulted them, including me.

I love my Neverfull and other canvas pieces that some may consider "basic". I live in the Midwest, in an area where you don't see many designer bags. When I do I think that person and I have something in common! I will often compliment others and say "I love your speedy!" etc., so I don't get it and I'm disappointed
Same here. I only see luxury brands at the airport and on vacation. Luxury here is considered COACH and Michael Kors, so no one even notices my bags. I personally find basic = classy, and ”interesting” can be tacky. So to each their own. :shrugs: I love my Speedy and Neverfull.

I wouldn't let popularity with a bag style deter me from using/keeping it. If you love it, then keep it. I have 3 LV bags and believe it or not, my Speedy 40 is my favorite. I absolutely love it. I don't see it everywhere here where I live like I do the NF's, but I still wouldn't let its popularity stop me from using it. Enjoy it!

New member, stirring the pot. I have NEVER had a conversation, with anyone, ever about what people carry and if they have "taste" or if if they are "basic", or whatever other bullshite is out there now. IDGAF who carries what, I carry what I like. I have several NF and I have excellent taste, IMO. So no one should wear a Michele watch, a Cartier bracelet, etc. because "everyone has it"?

Uh i havent been able to carry my NF GM out alot, due to pandemic lockdown. It has been on the shelf for months but everytime as i walk past it, it kinda makes me happy. I am a person that really loves bags. I like watching what people wear and admire their taste in bags/fashion. I know people buy expensive bags for different reasons, but at the end of the day, it is just a bag. I bought the NF in 2018 just to cross it off my wishlist, in the fear of further price increases. I enjoyed using it and think that it compliments my outfit (mainly just casual, jeans and tshirt, black jumpsuits etc). I do see people carrying NF from time to time and being in a country where fake LVs are openly sold everywhere, it doesn’t bother me at all. I always believe that it is not what you are wearing, it is who you are that makes you different from others. I have seen rich and classy, well articulate women using fake bags but it doesnt make them look cheap at all. Their reason being- why spend so much on a bag? No comment on that as that is their choice. At the end of the day, it is just a bag. You don’t like what you see? Then leave it. On another note, NF being an LV entry bag doesn’t mean that it is cheap, looking at its current price, I just feel lucky that I have bought it earlier in 2018.
