I had very little hope of scoring anything at FSH after reading this thread over a few times prior to our trip. I understand that some people have had luck and I was hoping that the same will be true for me since we only had a saturday afternoon available to spend at FSH during our last visit.

my usual SA was no longer at FSH at the time, and another SA came over to help us out. she brought out two boxes for me to look at, and as soon as she pulled this one out I knew then and there I had to bring her home...and DH had exactly the same thoughts! :yahoo:

Congratulations!! Beautiful. Did you ask outright for a Birkin or did you look around a bit and purchase other items as well? Also, did you speak French? I hear that helps as well.

DH and I went straight to the bag section - having very little time on our hands...since I was already resigned to the high probability that I would not be able to get a birkin that day, being a saturday, I initially asked for a kelly pochette in exotic (I love and collect them too:love:). the SA checked the computer and told me that they had none available with gold hardware and asked me what else I needed. I thought....hhhmmmm...she asked...it's a sign! that gave me the courage to ask for a birkin with gold hardware, preferably an exotic - either croc or ostrich. she went to the back and came back with two boxes to show me. lucky enough, one was the exact colour combo I was looking for, a shade of green (vert fonce, in this case) with gold hardware. and sorry, I do not speak french :shame:...and I also made no other purchases that day.

How wonderful and it is tied up with that Paris experience and even with your DH.
My DH eyes glaze over when I get to talking about bags.
