i got mine pierced a few years ago when i was in NYC. it didn't hurt at all... you just have to make sure to really keep it clean the first couple of weeks. a cute belly ring is definitely a fun accessory to have :)

hmmm, i cant remember when i got mine done... i think i was 16 or 17 years old... hmmm, i've had the same banana ring in since!!! LOL!!! I don't even notice its there anymore... but I won't take it out...

My boss just got her bellybutton done and shes like in her late 30's to early 40's! she loves it!!!

I've had mine pierced since I was 19 (I'm 36) and still love it. I even wore it until my last month of pregnancy and put it right back when I got home from having my son.

My little sister dragged me to the shop to pierce my belly button, she was 21 & I was 27 at the time. I thought I was way past the age to be doing something like that, but after I did it, I love it! I don't go around in belly baring shirts, so it feels like my little secret. :p

I had mine for 8 years and finaly had to take it out when I was 4 months preggers. The hole closed and there's a little scar. I was real bummed when I had to take it out since it was kind of a piece of my wilder younger days.

Geez...I didn't even think to take a picture of it before I yanked it out....actually I gues I shoulda took the picture when I found out I was pregnant...when I finally pulled it out it was looking pretty scary!!!!

Is it possible to buy nice diamond banana bars for navel piercings? I've had mine pierced for 4 years and would like to change the bar to something classy and understated. A nice small diamond would be great. I get so tired off all the cheap ones for sale that seem like they would be unhygienic or something!

i had mine done twice. but it kept bothering me and getting infected so i took it out. now i just get tattoos. it did leave a scar but it's not really noticeable.

I had mine done when I was 12 but it closed up by the time I was 14 after I had to take it out b/c it started to get a little itchy and sore and one of the holes closed up after a couple of days so I just left it and eventually the other hole did. I'm 16 now and when I had it pierced I was slim and my belly was really toned but I put on weight which I've now lost but my belly isn't toned at all now:sad: . I do want it pierced again I think maybe next year but only once I've toned up my belly. There was just one thing that annoyed me w/ the piercing and that is that it can get caught on things a bit which is painful. Also if you ever decide you don't want it anymore the scar isn't pretty. FYI b/c they numb it when you get it pierced all you have is one sharp pain that lasts a few seconds whilst they put the needle in then afterwards I felt fine. The only bad thing is on the first couple of nights after it is pierced it can be painful when you try to sleep and you can't lie on your belly. Hope this helps you!:smile1:

I have mine done and I don't regret it at all. I only had an infection before it got completely healed, which is good considering I did it myself [out of personal preference] When it was healed enough to change the jewelry, I was obsessed with finding millions of interesting bellyrings.

I don't show it off, but it's kind of part of my "inner sexiness" thing.
