Thank you all for keeping me company on this thread. :hugs: If I miss anyone in a reply, I'm sorry.

Lanit- you look absolutely gorgeous in your 90cm silk jersey. I think you might have given others with one some inspiration. The way you wear yours, it does not look "flat". I love your mors ring farandole combo, but when I do that with my twilly and mors ring, the tails are so short and only emphasizes how big my neck is. :nogood:

Dissertation :lolots::lolots::lolots:

Yes, the farandole twilly technique requires some patience and dexterity. Do you know how to do a rope braid twist with 2 pieces of hair? Here's a tutorial on youtube with hair but instead of hair, you use the two ends of a twilly of course. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ALDS-Xc-nIA

So at the midpoint, I wrap the twilly around the farandole end that is a T bar, twist and then when I get to the end, I tie a knot around the loop on the other end of the farandole necklace. I hope that explains it.

Awwww...5 is a good start! It's just a bad habit I have whenever I walk into an H boutique. I always ask to see the twillies and if I see one I like, it comes home with me.

Thank you TGG

Oh yes, thank you. I'm going to try this. [emoji8]

MyH, I love your thread so much! I also was late to the ELeK game, and paid a lot for my 90 silk, but don't regret it at all. It's turquoise and goes with everything I own, especially summer t-shirts.
Thank you for coming and joining the party here! I'm so happy people are enjoying reading it. :D I love this eLenK 90silk you have. The colors look wonderful on you. I particularly like it with your coral top.

And I also recently acquired a CSGM, which I have worn about every other day this winter, honestly. I love love love this shawl. In the first picture it almost looks like MyH and Pirula's 90 silk CW, which I adore!!!
Argh! I had the chance to buy this at the boutique. But I passed on it! What was I thinking? Congrats on yours!

Momasaurus you look divine with your Ex-libris and glorious silvery mane! I must now go on the hunt to re-capture my Ex-libris. Yes, cocktails would be so nice to accompany our discussion about our tresses.
Awwww! How fun! I think this could be a new thread. Scarves that go with silvery manes.

Let me see if I can remember - you place the shawl sort of any asymmetrical a triangle over your shoulder, drape the folds so it falls a bit like a waterfall, take the other side and knot it over the waterfall drape. HTh!
yes! I totally get it now. I will try it when I get a chance.

I adore twillies! That is my greatest weakness with H!!!![emoji7][emoji7][emoji7]
Let's see your collection! Show us.....show us......show us....

Yes that makes sense with the Lindy's. I actually don't have any Lindy's and I find that they do stay put on my handles. But I tend to wrap more tightly than loosely.

Hi Myke518 - please see my response to PbP in the post above. Good luck!

hahaha....I was just telling her last night I miss my twilly and she said I could have it back! :yahoo:

Momasaurus - you need to join our (me and PbP) "whoever costs the other person more money" needs to buy drinks club. I think I'm buying both of you 2 martinis each.
If it involves martinis, I'm in!

Sigh! So beautiful on you!

Thank you!

OMG that farandole thing! I need to try that.

Also, you have a lot of geometrics. Me too. Do you think twillies are best in geometric designs somehow?
You know....I'm not sure. So with twillies, I like the design to be smaller. And I pay attention to the edges because that's what is going to show when I tie it around my kelly handle. If the edges are boring and repetitive, it's a no go for me. I always visualize how the twilly will looked wrapped around a handle.

Beautiful, beautiful shawl! I love it.

Another fabulous neutral!

p.s.- Am I the only one on here [other than Bunnycat] who wears the twilly around my neck? haha.

BJS - you can tie the twilly around your ears or toes if that's what you want to do! It's your twilly and you can do what you want to!

Thank you! I actually wore it today as it is still freezing in the northeast, and my daughter said - "you are wearing that shawl in every instagram. Don't you have some others?" Well, I do, but this is my favorite! :roflmfao::roflmfao::roflmfao:

Thank you Pirula and scarf1 and BostonJetSet also. I can't multiquote and drink tequila at the same time!!
Tell your daughter it's a grail and people want to see it!

This is awesome. Tous les bateaux is a scarf/shawl that has eluded me. Maybe I need to save a few things for my old age...
Momasaurus - I did try on the black and white/gray CSGM and as much as I wanted to love it, it just didn't look that great on me. So I didn't get a CSGM in this design at all! :crybaby:

I always thought this was an etoupe background, but seeing it in your photos, it is such a gorgeous grey. I especially love the mint greens in it. Think you need a pretty atoll or mint green slg or clic clac dear. I don't have this in twill. Just the GM. And I don't recall if there was a GM colorway that matched this. I adore the border and contrasting hem.
Yes! This is one that didn't photograph well on the website. You really need to see it in person. It is a very unusual gray/lavendar for H. They don't do this color often. I do need a mint accessory....I'm working on it. :grouch:

And no, there wasn't a GM in this cw. As I mentioned above, I tried the black background one and it just didn't love me back.

Well hello there! Sorry I have been MIA. I had a milestone birthday this past weekend and all my time and attention was devoted to planning and helping orchestrate it. To make a long story short, my little sis and DH were supposed to "handle" it but umm....you know how that goes...let's say they did not have the proper experience to organize a party of this size. So I felt bad for them and decided to step in. So, the house is back in order, the party rentals for tables and chairs have been picked up, and I am back to playing in my scarf drawer.

Ok, first, can I say how much I LOVE LOVE my black kellycut. I am getting so much use out of it. I think I can even strike off a black kelly 28 from my "Acquire" list. So I actually saved money! I thought I would need a black clutch and a black kelly 28. Turns out I don't need both! I am so thrilled I found my KC in Paris. I know PbP thinks I didn't get the full experience of getting rejected followed by success, but I now realize just how lucky I was. I did experience the thrill of getting a KC, it just wasn't on the day of buying it, it's a month afterwards. :choochoo:

So I thought I would post the accessories I wore going out last night. DH and I had just finished cleaning up the chaos in our backyard from my bday party and we were in no mood to cook. So we looked on opentable and found we could get a reservation at our favorite restaurant in our neighborhood. So I wore one of my fav Eric Bompard sweaters and a pair of black pants and pulled out my 140 giant silk A La Plume 140 giant silk that was purchased on a whim when I bought my malachite kelly. Throw on some VCA and my black KC along with a green clic clac, and I am ready for date night with my DH

So beautiful! I'm glad that you love your Kelly cut. I agree that you don't need a black kelly too. The Kelly cut is perfect for you. And of course your other accessories are tdf. [emoji8]

So while I had some time, I thought I would continue with showcasing the scarves in my collection. Today I thought I would discuss a special category of scarves. Now I might be a fool to discuss this but oh well! C'est La Vie! It's scarves that you love, but are not on anybody else's radar! These are the best scarves! They don't cost a fortune and it's easy to bid for them on evilbay.

Now, I know there are universally loved scarves. ELenK, C'est la Fete, Turandot, etc... These are the George Clooney of scarves. Who's gonna not like them? Well, nobody. They look good and we all agree. The trick is to find a scarf that you love, but nobody really cares for. Then you can swoop in and buy all the cws! And if you're really lucky, others will soon realize how wonderful the scarf you love is, and the price will increase. And then you can feel smug. LOL. And tell everyone you bought yours for only $225. hahahaha!

So I have one of these scarves. Well maybe several of these scarves. The first is astrologie nouvelle but I think I've covered this scarf in great detail already. I love this design. The subject matter is just meh...to me but the scarf ties like a dream and I love the 3 cws I have. The second is a design that is rarely discussed. In fact, I don't think any other tPFers even own it. If you do, please come out of the woodwork and let yourself be known! Because I would like to bond with you over this scarf! I love it for the mosaics around the border. I love it for the giant tree in the middle. And everytime I look at it, I feel a sense of peace. Isn't it crazy that H scarves can put us in certain moods? Kind of like music? I'm not really a nature gal so it's quite an unusual choice for me but something about this scarf just appeals to me. And everytime I'm scrolling through evilbay, I stop dead in my tracks if I see this design and contemplate if I need another cw.

OK, enough of the suspense. It's Sous Le Cedre. I don't talk or display this scarf much because I don't think many others like it. It's kind of my own little secret. Now I will find it hilarious if you all start telling me it's your own little secret too.

The two cws I have are completely opposite of each other. The first has beautiful orangey-reds and yellows and greens in it. I love a orangey-red and find my capucine illusion bracelet matches it perfectly. I use this one in the evenings with black pants and now my KC.

The other cw is a daytime neutral cw. It matches my gold kelly and my Gris T kelly and a tan sweater I own 2 of. I'm a sucker for neutral scarves and this cw fits the bill perfectly.

And on both scarves, the tree. Oh the tree is so glorious! Sometimes I'll tie the scarf so part of the tree shows, and sometimes, I'll just go with the mosaics around the border.

Here you go...some photos of my Sous Le Cedre scarves.
