Heh. I wouldn't mind living in LA either! [emoji12]

On the Picotin: oh I dream of Rubis. Would also love Blue Jean or Etain. MM ideally since I'm tallish. But it's pie in the sky, and when time comes would likely be resale. But one can dream, n'est pas?
Oh, Rubis would be dreamy! I totally agree. I have recently seen all the colors you mentioned but in PM. :shucks: I agree with you about the MM size. I'm not exactly tiny either so it's my preferred size. Also, for long wallets, they fit along the bottom base nicely where they are secure. I will keep a lookout for you P.

What a killer collection. Congratulations! And that colvert Picotin...:heart::love:
Aw thanks! I couldn't believe when I found her.

Twins on the scarf!! Mine is "new to me" also; I just love the cw and design, I get a lot of use out of it. Congrats on finding it! And I LOVE your malachite Kelly! Love this pic of all your greens and blues. Happy New Year, MYH!!
I think I got it in my head to look for this cw when I saw yours! I couldn't take my eyes off of the beautiful colors.

This first pix is a feast for the eyes. My most favorite colors EVER!! Score.
Thank you darling. I like those colors too. I think I might make it my screensaver on my phone. lol.

Oh I am enjoying this tale! Did you get both the Pico and the Kelly in Vegas at the same time? Tell, tell! The CI twilly is fantastic on your kelly. Looks very fresh and upbeat. Gorgeous collage of items in beautiful colors!
Yes I did. Want to hear the tale? Here it is... I went to Vegas hoping for a Kelly Cut. But those unicorns are hard to come by and I knew my chances were slim to none really. I have two SAs. One at Crystals and one at Bellagio. Before I left for Vegas, my SA at Bellagio said she *might* be able to get me a malachite kelly in 28. She said she had to enter my name in to a lotto or something. I told her to do it but wasn't sure about malachite or the size 28. I'm usually a 32cm gal and I kind of wanted blue sapphire. But I figured I could always decline it if it wasn't for me.
On the first day we (DH and I) arrived in Vegas my SA at Bellagio wasn't working so DH and I headed over to Crystals. I found my SA and asked for a Kelly Cut and she shook her head. Yeah, that's what I expected. Then I thought I would just randomly ask for a Picotin MM. I don't have any totes (like a B or GP) and I do find my orange Pico MM very useful when running errands. It's so easy to just stick my hand in to get my wallet and phone out and then put it back. No flaps or stuff to mess with like on my kellys. Also, I think it's cuter than my Evelynes which I use more for trips and long days out walking. But my Orange Pico doesn't really go with all outfits because the color is just so pop. I've been wanting a neutral for some time. So I asked for etain, etoupe, blue sapphire, any dark blues...she had a ton of PMs and said no MMs. Until she checked her little iPad (new inventory system) and said oh! we have a colvert. Want to see it? Um...yes. Thank you! So she brought it out and I was  But in the back of my mind, I was thinking, what if I get that malachite Kelly from Bellagio? I can't possibly get two bags in one trip! So DH saw me freaking out and said, wrap it up. She wants it. Then I quickly ran through my twilly inventory at home and realized I didn't have anything to match Colvert so I went to pick out a twilly for it. When we walked out of the store, I looked at him and said, what about the malachite kelly? He said, well, just return this one for store credit and apply it to the green (he has not been totally trained on the exact color vocab) kelly if you want to get it. This is your safety bag! In case you don't get the green one tomorrow. OK, ok. I said it was a good plan. You can't leave Vegas bagless! I do  him so.

The next morning we woke up and we did some normal Vegas stuff. My SA wasn't going to be in until 4pm. Oh the wait was excruciating and I was trying to be calm. I didn't really want my DH to think I'm bat sh!t crazy over handbags. Yes, after 13 years of marriage, I'm still trying to keep up appearances. LOL. :lolots: So 4pm rolls around and I tell him, why don't you go do something else while I go to Bellagio? I always feel sorry for him because he doesn't have anything to do while I squeal over scarves and handbags. So he goes off and I head over to the boutique. My SA has a sly smile and says I have something for you! The malachite Kelly! dum dum dum dum...She opened the box (still sealed) and I tried to dislike it, I really did. I held it by the handle and looked in the mirror. Nope, it's not too small. The color was an emerald green. One of my favorite colors. I pranced around the store hand carrying it, shoulder strapping it, on the crook of my arm. My SA also knows I have a weakness for 140cm giant silks and found one that looked great with my blue sweater and black pants I was wearing that day because I kept saying, I have more blue and navy clothes than green! But I felt so torn because now I had to give back my colvert pico. Agonizing! Then DH decided to ignore my request to go to the store by myself and showed up at the store unexpectedly asking the security guard if his wife was there. I actually didn't want him there because I knew he would enable me to buy everything. And I am trying to be a good girl! :cutesy: So he took a look at my face and then the bag, and said you need to get it. But I started looking at him and asking about the pico, and he said, keep both! :yahoo::yahoo::yahoo: I knew he would say that but I was relieved when he said it outloud. I know I don't need his permission to purchase things but it's always nice when your spouse is supportive and likes the items you've decided to purchase.

And it was just serendipity that the twilly I picked out for my Colvert Pico actually matches my Malachite Kelly better.

So that's how I came home with a Colvert Pico MM, a Malachite Kelly 28, a twilly, and a 140cm scarf...to be showcased tomorrow!

Thanks for reading to my long winded tale. :hugs:

:smile1:What a great story! I feel like I was there with you. Your DH is a wonderful person - shows so much sensitivity to the H desires! A true rarity and great man :smile1:

You surely did the right thing to keep both bags. There was genious, however, in the first strategy of taking the Pico as a backup.

Woderful story, I enjoyed reading. :D

Having been in Vegas with you, I especially loved this story! Well done!!! You sure have a lovely DH, too....can't wait to see the new scarf also.

MYH Your story is enthralling , love your style of writing as well as that of your scarfing!
I have a few bags that are on a very vague sort of wish list , Picotin is right at the top .
I love green and so Malachite and Colvert had me gasping . Your SLGs are cute too!

Coup de Fouet has changed a lot in my perception since you first showed it , and this only confirms the fact I need one in my life!
My feeling when I first saw the design before it hit the stores was that I loved it, then followed a disaffection as I felt it looked harsh with those black lines dividing the blocks of colour .
Now I see they aren't black lines but carefully shaded and not harsh at all .
Finally enlightenment!
However in honesty none of the colour ways speak to me as my usual comfort zone colours of orange and red are just too much orange/red . The blues are divine but not good on me and the pale too wishy washy .
Hoping for a re issue!

:hugs:

What a wonderful story!! I do agree MM pico is hard to come by. I am hunting one in purple or the new blue indigo/orange poppy with GHW in size 22. Alas, I think I'm going to toss in my towel n give up on the search. It's nearly impossible to find it now

First order of business, Happy New Year Silkies! :partyhat::partyhat::partyhat: Second, I am asking for forgiveness for neglecting this thread for so long. I have a long list of excuses. First there was a trip to Vegas during Christmas. I have so much to share. So much! Stay tuned. :faint::faint::faint: Then my sis came home with us and stayed through the New Year. Then DH took the time off between Christmas and New Years and was home with us too. And unfortunately for me, I'm the only one in our house that knows how to cook! :lolots: So all that added up to ....scarf neglect.

But now I'm back. Some of you may know of my new acquisitions already because I have shared elsewhere. But for those of you who haven't seen my new treasures, this is the post! But since we are focusing on scarves there, I'm going to showcase a new-to-me scarf. It came in tip-top condition. With the tags still on. And for a great price thanks to Pocketbook Pup's eagle eyes. She is a black belt scarf hunter!

It checks all the boxes for me. Jewel toned colors. Medium/Large print (Frou Frou and I both like this in a scarf). A modern design. Four corners with different colors so I can achieve different looks with a cowboy knot. And I was looking for more scarves to go with black outfits so I could not resist. And it has an added bonus of coordinating (not perfectly matching but I'll take it) with a new Hermes handbag I scored in Vegas. I actually saw this exact cw listed for more $$$ on AFF and was too slow to purchase it so was kind of sad about it but then PbP came to the rescue and I am a happy girl now. So, here's my new scarf Coup de Fouet. I was in a picture playing mood this morning so I also piled on all my different blue and green Hermes items in the photograph and snuck in my new Malachite Kelly 28 and Colvert Picotin too.

Whoa! A most riveting photo. In love already with your blue green landscaping here.

"I tried to dislike it. I really did!" :roflmfao::lolots::roflmfao:

Great story ☘

Thanks ladies. I feel very lucky to have such an understanding DH and to have great SAs in Vegas.

Frou Frou - yes, the black lines do have quite a bit of shading so don't seem too harsh. Now I have a 140cm and a 90cm in this design. I'm right there with you though hoping for a reissue with more color options.

Also, for those Pico lovers - I will admit when I first saw this bag, I thought it was boring and weird looking. Why would you want a bag with a square base? But then it grew on me and now I have two. But I am very partial to the MM size. I think the PM size is tres cute but does not hold enough for my purposes unfortunately. And the PM size is the easiest to find.

Wonderful!!!! I loved reading this.
Thanks doll!

Oh the unicorn one...blue indigo and orange poppy. I would've love that one too. MM is crazy hard to find...but don't throw in the towel just yet. Keep asking! you never know. I think even the resellers can't find this color combo because I've never seen it on evilbay either.

Aww...thanks for complimenting my photo taking skills. I do love greens and blues too. Wish I had more purples! I love that color too.

Thanks doll!

I did saw someone post the blue indigo/orange poppy in GHW in size 18 last year on the EU H.com
So far I have yet to see this combo in size 22 anywhere! Ugh!

Great scarf and of course your Kelly and Pico!! Colvert is one of the best blues from H! And lucky you, an MM!! A mutual friend of ours has a GM Pico in Chartreuse that I LOVE but I never see it in the stores. I ONLY ever see the PMs in store and on h.com.
