Ok. Just because I  you PbP. Wish I had that special camera filter that takes off 20 pounds...maybe it will magically appear after the holidays lol.

Dang, Klynneann!!! What an amazing cw of this glorious design. I love how you tied it, and how well it compliments the light yellow you're wearing. Especially like the yellow clic H too. I love those bracelets so much.

Oh that looks absolutely fabulous on you! I love how you tied it. It really is great with jeans. Try it dressed up sometime too. It really can go either way.

Thank you so much, TangoTosca! :smile1: The funny thing is that when I was younger, I hated the color yellow lol! I do still prefer a mustardy yellow v. a bright yellow, but at least I've come along.

Darling MYH,

I wanted to take this opportunity on Thanksgiving to say how thankful I am that you're on tPF and have started this wonderful thread. It is a lot of fun to read and a terrific resource for other silk lovers. You have a great "voice" and a sweet and supportive spirit for other Scarfies, especially for those just discovering the world of Hermes silks.

Thank you, too, for all the "tea and sympathy" you provided to me re: the house building project. I really appreciated it :smooch:

Hugs,
TangoTosca

I hear you, Klynneann. I stepped away from not only my scarf collection, but my real clothes collection, for almost two years. Going out to the house construction site everyday, I wore my rattiest clothes, because I knew they'd be filthy from dust and debris by the time I got home.

So now, it's like I'm rediscovering my whole wardrobe again, and some things I always held to be true - "you look awful in orange" and "avoid yellow at all costs" - I'm starting to challenge. Maybe I was making decisions only out of habit, instead of really evaluating objectively how things really look on me?

Sounds like you might be doing the same thing!

And Happy, Happy Thanksgiving!

Let me add my thanks to all of you who have posted here. I have learned so much - about scarves, ways to tie them, how to pair them with outfits - but most importantly - not to be afraid to wear them. My scarf collection is minute and while I love the beauty and artistry of the silks I don't always feel comfortable wearing them.

I especially love the thought process that accompanies MYH's decisions and the back story to each silk.

Thanks to all, Mead

Love it Klynneann! I agree with the others that it looks great with denim. I think bringing out the soft yellow in TP with your top is a winner too.

Oh TT - How very thoughtful of you to write such a sweet note. :flowers: I am grateful and thankful for your thread too! I learned a ton reading your thread and it really shaped my scarf education to help me pick winners for me. Once the weekend is over and my family hops back on airplanes to go home, I will resume my little thread again. I hope you and yours are having a wonderful Thanksgiving and that you are enjoying your first Thanksgiving in your new house.

Hi Mead! Thanks so much for writing such a lovely comment. I am happy to help and share what I know about scarf choosing and scarf tying with the others on the forum. I have found tPF to be a wonderful resource where all the members generously share as well.

Isn't it wonderful to rediscover your closet?! Happy Thanksgiving to you too!!

Thank you, MYH! And, although I think you know it, I don't think I mentioned how much I loved the presentation of your Fleurs Indiennes. It is so beautiful and the way you pair it with everything makes it exquisite! It's just beautiful on you!

Hello silkies! It's been too long! Thanksgiving really threw my schedule out of whack this year. I just literally dropped off my last houseguest at the airport yesterday afternoon. Whew! I love having people over but it is all consuming. But now, aside from laundry :giggles:, I think I can go back to my regularly programmed scarf sharing schedule. Hahaha. I thought about posting something while my guests were here, but I didn't know if I felt like being caught "red handed" taking pictures of scarves, bracelets, and bags. I would have had a lot of explaining to do! I kind of love that tPF is my own little secret world.

OK, now that turkey day is behind us that means holiday scarves get to come out and play! Woo woo! I only started collecting holiday scarves this year. Up until about 40 scarves in, I wasn't sure if I wanted to sacrifice a "spot" in the collection for a scarf I could only wear about a month out of a year. But the CUTEST scarf popped up for sale about mid-year this year and I could not resist. It usually goes for a bit over retail and I managed to get it way under retail. If any of you are looking for a holiday scarf, I would say resist the temptation to buy it now. The sellers know we are all in a holiday mood and have increased the prices because of the season. This is a great lesson in patience. First you have to be patient and wait until a scarf is out of season to buy it, and then after it's purchased, you have to wait again to wear it. So much waiting! :sweatdrop: For those of you who frequent the holy grail scarf thread, you know the mantra over there....be patient.

I could barely contain my excitement at the time but when I received it, I realized I would look like a lunatic wearing it in the middle of July. So I have been patiently waiting...and waiting...and waiting. And now the time is here! :yahoo::yahoo::yahoo:

Love this scarf - Noel au Faubourg pictured with my gold kelly 32cm and some accessories. I absolutely adore the little ornaments on the tree so I took some close up shots. If anyone else has this scarf, it would be awesome to see a scarf on site pic at FSH! And to top it off, about a month later, my little sis got a great price on the little sister version of this scarf in a gavroche.
