Yes, I wish they wouldn't pill too, but mostly because they're so expensive. I am convinced, though, that I'm the only one aware of it. At three feet away no one standing near me is going to see any fuzz, not unless we're standing in the grocery store check out line and they're so bored they have nothing better to do than stare at the back of my neck and count the puff balls

I mean, even if your phone's battery has died, there's always the National Enquirer, right??

Omg you are too funny!!!

After a whirlwind of wine, pastry and retail therapy you really expect me to remember color ways?!? It's all a blur. I was so stupid. I didn't want to be a bother so if it didn't look appealing in the bag I didn't have them take it out. But none of them truly looks appealing in the bag. So dumb! If you want to ban me from the forum I completely understand. I'm kicking myself now.

Well...I know I saw a few in Paris at fsh and at the duty free I think. None a George v. None at sevres. I don't remember the colors. I remember that you don't like pink or fuschia and I decided that I agree with you on that so anything in those colors I quickly passed up. I think one was pink. But for some reason something blue and purple with a bit of yellow in it is coming into my mind. I think at fsh. Do you want me to go back and check? I can leave ASAP. [emoji4]

I also think I saw some at the DC store. I emailed the SA there. Let me check. If so, everyone hold your fire. MYH deserves first crack at them for this wonderful thread.

(You left out port, jazz, and onion soup). [emoji4]

Ohhh beautiful! That's what I'm talking about. PbP: this is your cw too right? I die.

Are we going to see Coupons pictures from yesterday and today TT? Please? It's my last Grail and I must live vicariously since apparently no one will let theirs go. Like ever.

Yes I have the same colorway as Tango Tosca. I totally copied... errr was inspired by her. Tango, I have like 300 photos of you saved on my iPad. 300 of the dog. I think one or two of DH.

That's what I said? CdF? Recently? Where? spill it PbP. Klynneann - I would love to see your cw. Will you post some mod pics for us? I agree - the 140cm silks take some figuring out. Perhaps I should do a little 140cm tutorial on the different ways I wear mine? Go over different ways to knot?

lol, not you - Pocketbook Pup! I'm dying to know where she saw those CdF moussies!! :smile1: Hm, maybe on the mod pics. :shame: But the one I have TangoTosca already posted!

Yes, you described it better. FUZZY. i don't like fuzzy. I brush and brush away the fuzz but it always comes back. I would really like to hear from the gals that bought the recent CSGMs (70% cashmere, 30% silk) how it has held up. Any fuzziness? Anyone worn theirs more than 10 times yet? I vote for you getting the Versace one. I think it would like dynamite on you.

Well put. Frankly I feel this is true of the 90s as well. Except perhaps the most traditional, formal designs. But that's me.

Thank you. :flowers:

Oh yes, I loved that colorway so much  And I almost bought it. But at the time I had already bought some red/orange scarves recently and I wanted to go in a different direction. I bought the blue colorway instead, and I adore it. But I wish I would have gotten both cws. This is one of those designs where it doesn't feel redundant to have multiple cws.

Twins!! I just love it.

Just stopping by to thank MyH for her inspiration in buying this de la mer which I'm wearing for the first time today., I saw her photos months ago but actually ordered it on line two weeks ago when I learned that it was sold out in France. Here it is with my GT Kelly also inspired by MyH. View attachment 3183772View attachment 3183773

Ooooooooohhhhh!!!!! :woohoo::woohoo::woohoo:

Super super super fabulous look, Pocketbook Pup, and look how angelic it is with Miss Gris T :cloud9:

MYH, if this is the glamorous result of your enabling, then you should quit your day job and dedicate your life to styling! :speedy:

MYH - must say that though the 140 ssilks are fabulous, including your CdF (especially this colorway), the CSGMs are so beautiful to wear in the cold weather. I do agree they can be fragile, but for my most worn CSGM's I dont even look for pulls, runs or imperfections any more LOL. They are rather like old blankies, especially if one travels with them. The saturation of the colors in different designs are richer or softer than the twill counterparts. I waited almost too late when the La Femme shawl came out in the 140 CSGM due to concerns about snagging and delicate handling. All the chatter on quality and care on threads? All those concerns go right out the window after swathing oneself in the 140 GMs. I hope you will give one a try someday dear. I look back and do not regret leaping for the La Femme shawl and slipped down that slope many moons ago  Here you go - the thrill of the cocoon in a Grail.:graucho:

sigh. Just beautiful.

Here's my Coup MYH:

View attachment 3183925

It was the second scarf I acquired and part of my H orange education. I just love it, even though I know others with blue (like yours and PbP's) would probably be more conventionally flattering on me. But I like how this one works, so long as I'm careful to keep the mustard parts away from my face it's quite flattering and different from anything else I have. I don't know the cw, it came to me pre-loved with no cw tag.

My god ladies have mercy please!!! U r killing me with these beauties!!! What fabulous colors[emoji7][emoji173]️[emoji7][emoji173]️[emoji7]... I am going to have wonderful dreams tonight for sure [emoji7][emoji173]️

MYH, if this is the glamorous result of your enabling, then you should quit your day job and dedicate your life to styling! :speedy:

Thanks TT. MYH has definitely cost me a bundle, and I love her for it.

Perfumegirl - I am honored you chose a Marwari dip dye because of me. Maybe I'll feature that one next and you could also show how you wear yours? You already have two CDC scarves? which cws? I will confess, I did at one point own the bright fuchsia background one with greens and turquoises as accent colors. I wore it a couple of times and then had to rehome it because it was so bright! I am such a wallflower and felt uncomfortable in it. I wanted another cw so bad but made a mistake when purchasing that crazy bright one. Please post yours for us to see!

TT - thank you for your long and thoughtful response. It's music to my ears that this thread kept you entertained while at the doctors office. Part of the fun of starting a thread is seeing the responses and conversations it sparks. I'm glad I'm not alone on the CDCs. I'm sure you have thin long beautiful arms and can totally carry it but in the end, you have to feel comfortable wearing it. I think the KDTs are great too and easier on the wallet! Sometimes I am grateful I don't collect them because that would eat up quite alot of my silk budget! But that does not stop me from trying one on from time to time. Usually my little sis is with me and here are her comments

- it makes your arm look short and stumpy

- it doesn't match your wardrobe - too edgy

- you don't even own one moto jacket. it's not you

- how are you going to type or write with those spiky things

- just buy another bracelet sis

And with that, I admit defeat.

Katekluet - I guess my first question to you is how do you typically wear your CSGMs? I think I would have better advice for you if I knew you preferred way to wear large shawls. And yes, I think they do look a bit dresser than CSGMs but not by much. A lot really depends on the design, the cw, and your knot. Which two giant silks did you acquire recently? Please post pics hon so we can all help you.

Yes! a sister in crime that loves the 140cms too! :ghi5: OK, back the train up! You have seen 140cm mousselines in CdF? I have NEVER seen one at a boutique. What cws PbP? I need to know right now. It is a matter of life and death. Please concentrate and rattle off the cws you saw. Close your eyes and visualize. Help me! I have only seen one cw on eBay and it doesn't do anything for me. Get them to take those beauties out of the plastic wrap. And sneak pictures while you're at it. :graucho:

Yes, you are right! Shawls and scarves should be enjoyed. I am in awe you have not experienced pills. Good for you! maybe I have rough man hands? usually it's the prongs of my engagement ring that is the culprit for the snags.

I totally understand about not adjusting and readjusting a shawl. it's so embarrassing. But you are right...they are a bit slippery and will need you to employ some creative scarf tying. I think they will suit you - you just need to find the right design, cw, and knot. How do you usually wear your CSGMs? If I knew that, I could certainly recommend some knots that stay in place

Hehehe I am probably not seeing the pulls and thinking they r fine[emoji23][emoji23]...I pretty much wear my scarf the same boring way every time as u can see from the pics [emoji16][emoji16].... Posting Archive pics from the forum ....Pls pls consider doing a tutorial on how to tie the 140 silk GMs[emoji120][emoji120][emoji120][emoji120]ImageUploadedByPurseForum1447201924.378494.jpgImageUploadedByPurseForum1447201933.596496.jpgImageUploadedByPurseForum1447201941.412268.jpg

But you always look perfect! Not boring. I like this way of wearing the csgm best too. I want to see as much of the design as possible. But yes please MYH a tutorial!

You mean this one ladies? :coolio:

Coupons Indiens.JPG

Yes, expect both pics of Coupons Indienes on SOTD tomorrow afternoon. My camera and camera cord got separated, and won't be reunited (and it feel so good) until tomorrow.

Pocketbook Pup - well, my little confession is that if you have 300 pictures of me saved then 250 of those were inspired by the Late, Great Iris J. I have a style file of exclusively her on my computer. She hasn't been around since 2012, but she started a blog where all her scarf pictures and profiles are in the same place. http://hymneauxcarres.blogspot.com/

This is the type of stuff she would do. I have like 25 of hers. We both had an abiding love of white pants. I miss her :shucks:
