I am new here. I had a Jemma Rio which was in excellent condition. Bought in 2006, used twice. I have never used any of the preloved sites before. It just seemed easier to take it into a Mulberry store. The SA was really friendly. Got a voucher. Am looking for a Tote. Think I will hang on till the sales.

Hi, I haven’t read the entire feed but I sold 2 bags to Mulberry via their buy back and happy with the money. But they have now changed the terms of the voucher and you cannot use these vouchers via the virtual appointment service, which I have used at the outlets and spent quite a bit! So a bit miffed. Secondly, I paid £550 for an NVT oak buckle bayswater. Pictures showed dark handles but not bad. when it arrived it was disgraceful and was returned the next day. I don’t think the pre loved bags sold via Mulberry are refurbished. I saw a Dorset and the damage was obvious in the photos. At least you can send them back I guess. That’s my experience anyway.

I also asked if I could use the voucher at an outlet and the SA said no. Do you know if you can use the vouchers at Heathrow?
Sorry to hear about your experience with the NVT Bayswater. The thing is that the photos on the website don't seem to reflect the true condition. The Regent Street store has some preloved bags on display.

Hi, I couldn’t find their response to my email about the change but here is a cut and paste from their email stating terms. I was under the impression you could use it at the outlets but only in person. I would say LHR should be ok:

The amount will be placed onto a Digital E-Voucher. This voucher can be used online at Mulberry.com or in any of our Mulberry stand alone and outlet stores. It will be valid for 24 months from the date of issue.

Yes. I’ve just double checked and it doesn’t say outlet specifically. That’s rather unfair in my opinion but I’m sure they won’t lose any sleep over it :

Once you’ve accepted the quote, we will issue you digitally with a Gift Card, which can be redeemed online or in a Mulberry store.

I agree it is unfair.

Another update, another pile of lovely bags and another load of weird prices/mistakes that’ll make mulberry fans teeth grit

The good: lovely darley for £400
black soft amberley from last season at £575

The bad: Gracie with a hole in (!!) at £325 (no close up of the hole for buyers to inspect, would be very easy to miss if not looking closely)
Cognac Mabel listed as “oak” (was there ever an oak Mabel?)

the ugly: at least two vintage bags priced well over what they would have been new - I don’t like this practice, though suppose it makes business sense if they sell at those prices

Well they are going to get the bump with me because I bought the black Maple and the croc Ledbury, I just want to spend the voucher, and if the quality is crap they are going straight back. So that’s order number 2. You are absolutely right in that a) prices are mental but I did a quick research and with these two I didn’t think it was too bad. B) you really won’t know the condition until you see it in the ‘Flesh’. i have no problem sending them back even if this goes on and on. Funnily enough I went to buy the Darley but dithered for about 15 minutes and it sold! The bags are selling but ‍♀️. My excuse is I want rid of the voucher. As you had a look, what do you think about what I bought? I’d be very grateful for your opinion. X

Gosh,
It's so confusing. Where can you find out what price vintage bags were when they were new?

think there’s a thread on here with prices from about 2004/5? Will search for it when I get home from work. I often remember prices just from being into mulberry for a long time, Alexa was considered an expensive bag for mulberry when it launched at £695.

The maple looks good, Ledbury won’t load up for me on my phone but I’ll have a look when I get home.

my issue with the Gracie isn’t so much that there’s a hole, it’s that they have’t telegraphed it in the listing, it’s hidden in the small print under details & a rushed buyer might miss it. For stuff like wrongful description, I worry that when people sell bags on they can get burned by places like eBay, where a wrong description can potentially see buyers refunded and sellers out of pocket.

ETA: Ledbury is lovely too! Hope you love them when they arrive

Im very grateful, thank you. I agree I’m absolutely shocked that they put ‘rejuvenated’ in the description. Re the Gracie, there are a couple of cream ones and the description states leather discolouration. You cant see it in the photos?? Most I’ve seen said condition ‘Fair’ so by saying those two things they are covering themselves. As I said before, people appear to be rushing to buy as the Darley went while I it was in my basket! Even in the photos you can see, on some, marks that a suitable restore leather cream will fix. It could be a great scheme but personally from my limited experience they are buying bags off people for not very much, doing naff all then reselling at a HUGE profit, relying on the Bought Direct From Mulberry tag and receipt. Again my opinion, people are going to find themselves with bags they are unable to sell on without a huge loss. I bore my husband to the point of him wanting to stick pins in his eyes but even he ‘gets it’….I go on enough. I’lll only keep one, and I had both a small and large maple, but I really did like the Ledbury but only the croc one. I really do appreciate your help. Thank you. I shouldve added there is one very positive thing about the scheme, or so they told me in an email, the condition of the item does not affect their statement of giving you ‘25%’ of the bags last selling price. I sold a large Suffolk that had a broken D Ring attachment. The offer was that wether it be pristine or as was. Apparently.

Hi, I just Google but click images and try and hunt it down. There are still some reviews on YT which I also always check out. But, tbh, I’ve only been buying Mulberry since 2012-13 and I’ve never come across some of the bags on here. This is the best site for advice, in my opinion. Some FB sites are not always user friendly. I’ve never seen or experienced that on here. Take care x
