That's a fortune but TraceySH those are worth it!
@papertiger they sure are! But when you think, this is half or 1/3 of a bag, I mean...it both puts the shoes in perspective AND calls me out on the entire ridiculousness of my retail spending  Seriously though, I do collect a few pairs of shoes each year that are insane. I try to find things that I can wear for even a decade (not regularly but for special occasions), and I take very good care of everything. I still have lots of shoes from designers that are now defunct that I absolutely adore and cherish.

So chic! I love them!
They’re so sexy on women.
I have a Burberry pair in black that I really like, but I’m still trying to break them in. They’re so stiff! :frown:

I think men's style shoes take a bit more wearing in. B has great shoes too, mostly made in Italy. They will be worth it. With resoling they can last a decade.

Thanks for the good word. I’ll keep trying then.
I have a pair of Chelsea boots from them that are very comfortable and are are probably going to take a decade before needing resoling. I think part of the problem with the brogues I have is that the sole is as thick as the ones in men’s shoes.

Gucci loafers and brocade slides, Tods loafers and slip on sneakers, Burberry boots, Etro slip on sneakers. Max Mara slip on sneakers. All in the $500 to $650 range. Most of my shoes are Italian brands in the $200--$300 range: Brunate, 181, etc.

Probably my Stuart Weitzman 5050 boots. $700 & worth every penny, as they’re the only knee-high boot I’ve ever found that’s both tall *and* narrow enough for my long, skinny calves! I also own them in an equestrian style with silver buckles.

I’m an expert bargain shopper & was able to score both pair (unused) for a little less than one retails for. But I would pay full price if I had to, since they’re extremely comfortable, timeless, & well made. :)

Chanel thigh high boots: retail probably € 2000 - 2500 but got them preloved for 700. Gucci boots € 850,- in 2007, a decade later and they're still beautiful. Had Sergio Rossi python pumps with fox fur, those were expensive and the worst part is: I sold them for € 65,- because I didn't know there was a huge second hand market back then .

Valentino Rockstud 100mm pump AUD$1250 (maybe? bought from matchesfashion)
Manolo Blahnik Hangisi 105 satin pump AUD$1400 (bought from farfetch)
so Manolo wins!

Everyone (on youtube) says Rockstud are comfy, my feet strongly disagreed.
You just made me laugh because I can relate.
IMHO Loubies are much more uncomfortable, even. I’m convinced that my pair of So Kate’s were designed by the devil.

I got the So Kate but couldn't even stay on for 10 seconds. My feet turned purplish-bruised colour (cut off circulation??).
I found out I can only wear pigalle 100, or pigalle plato 120.
