In general DHs shoes are more expensive than mine (mainly bc I stopped wearing heels in 2018).

He prefers Edward Greene (202 last); Corthay; and Hiro Yanagimachi currently. Some Norman Vilalta
He used to wear JM Weston (suede) and some Santoni, but no longer. If a ready made last or MTM last fits,
he’s fine with that.

DH is not a fan of Lobb owned by Hermes (he has owned about five pairs a while back), and he has some H shoes and chypres. He does like Lobb St. James. (But, we’ve only commissioned small leather goods from Lobb St. James.

My Hermes Neo boots were around £1,100, and now they are retailing for £1,300. Gorgeous leather and buckle but I start to break out into a sweat when shoes cost over £1k... I walk so much in my city that I am very "hard" on shoes, unlike bags or jewellery which I can "baby" a bit more.

My most expensive pair of shoes (retail price) are the LV Spicy Sandals from 2009, the burgundy suede version. I think they retailed for $3,000. I bought them 2 years later for a third of the price. I still think they're a work of art but I've only worn them twice.

The most I've paid is approx $1,250 for the Gucci Princetown mules (brand new), they are a favourite so worth every penny.

The most expensive I’ve paid were the John Lobbs I posted earlier.

The most expensive I currently own are Gaziano and Girling navy bespoke brogues from 2019- I can’t remember exactly but 4 figures..
