Reading the news comments people seem confused that it says he died of ketamine and that he was receiving ketamine infusion therapy at a clinic for depression but that the therapy would not have contributed to his death as the last session was a week and a half before he died. I think what happened is that they unwittingly treated an ex-addict with an addictive substance. Maybe only microdoses but enough to make him curious. Clearly he got extra doses from somewhere.

Very sad but reading the report, he was also suffering from very serious health issues that might have caused him a lot of pain and suffering. He had at least coronary artery disease, emphysema (COPD) and diabetes. I think I read he wrote in his autobiography that his colon also exploded in 2018. And add to that severe depression and substance abuse problems, even if he was clean for a long period of time.

I don't know what to think. It's very sad and while I wish he was still here, I cannot judge him for wanting to ease what was probably an excruciating pain, both psychological and physical one. That said, I have to wonder about the medical professionals treating him with ketamine. Anyone in LA would have known he was an ex addict! How is that a good idea?!

Blows my mind that they would treat an addict with Ketamine.

Reading that is so sad. Ultimately, this is a guy who fought every day his whole life to overcome his demons. The strength it takes to try to heal year after year is something not many can muster. RIP. :(

The medics involved should really be looked into. How many more patients (including countless who are not high profile) may end up the same way because of this approach to treatment? :(

Also consuming, according to the above article, he was taking Tammoxifen to lose weight, an antidiabetic medication and using nicotine lollipops.

Why try to lose weight on top of his other struggles? One thing at a time, I would think.

He probably needed to lose the weight for his various health issues (diabetes, cardiovascular, etc), but with so many choices nowadays, I wonder why Tamoxifen?

I just can’t wrap my head around a massive LIAR. Interview with Diane Sawyer and anyone else that will listen to his story. I think it’s a shame that he had to publicly drag innocent people into his mess.

No actually I think it would be better if all those he hurt ( because we know addicts hurt people around them) would say so rather than giving him a pass.
Are we going to really look away from his awful behavior because he starred in a silly show and now he's dead?
If he was a poor homeless addict who overdosed he would be judged mercilessly by many people.
Idk I'm tired of people getting so many passes.
