Sadly, I've read speculation recently that he never really got clean.
This wouldn’t surprise me. The man I saw on that “Friends reunion” TV special was not sober (IMO)

I think, as well, that a lifetime of addiction can cause some real cognitive difficulties that can present as intoxication. Poor man struggled on a daily basis regardless of whether he was actively using in the moment.
Drugs. I’ve recently seen some guys as high as a kite in my alleyway and how they were behaving and speaking (I mean they were like hallucinating), illustrates perfectly how fried their brains are. There is no way Perry’s brain wasn’t affected. I actually video’d it to show my friend in Europe what it’s like living in the inner-city.
I don’t think I ever finished watching the reunion bc it was painful to watch. As someone who loved that show and all the characters. I also enjoyed how they all supported each other and their careers. Talk about putting friendship above fame and money. Rarity in hollyweird.
