I'm surprised at how many of the comments on the NYT article about the arrests are not sympathetic to Matthew Perry - no one forced him to take the drugs, he asked to be injected, the asst. shouldn't be blamed, etc.

I understand the exasperation people feel. There is nothing sadder or more pathetic than an addict doing absolutely anything to get a fix. These people took advantage of him to get as much money as they could, but he came to them for the drugs, not the other way around. If these doctors had refused him he would have kept looking (and paying) until he found someone to get him what he wanted. I read somewhere he had been in rehab at least 15 times and even with all of his effort and his resources, he couldn’t stay away from drugs. The craving is that consuming.

To make it even messier, the “ketamine queen,” Charlie Sheen’s ex-wife, and Matthew Perry were all in rehab together. I wonder how many addicts meet each other and find new suppliers while attending rehab.

I never knew Brooke Mueller met Charlie Sheen at one of Matthew Perry’s parties. What a nightmare that marriage was.

Sick.

Two doctors arrested and charged in connection to Matthew Perry’s death allegedly texted each other to discuss scamming the late “Friends” star into paying more for ketamine.

Dr. Salvador Plasencia, an urgent care physician in Calabasas, Calif., texted Dr. Mark Chavez about purchasing ketamine so he could sell the drug to “victim M.P.,” who a law enforcement official confirmed was Perry, according to the New York Times.

Prosecutors claim Plasencia discussed with Chavez how much to charge Perry for the drug, writing, “I wonder how much this moron will pay” and “Lets [sic] find out.”

Seems so cruel. makes me sad

she is facing life in prison...good
I saw a news report showing her lavish lifestyle, including a birthday party she threw for herself two weeks after he died. She was photographed next to a Maybach. I hope memories of it will help her pass the time in prison.
