I was wondering about the leather used in the newer natashas.
ShopBop listed as the newer ones made from cowhide leather, but mine from last year is made in lamb leather, could be a difference in smooshy yummy leather?

I have the Petal to the Metal Natasha and Zip Clutch in lamb leather and I love them to bits. I ordered from shopbop the Flap Pouchette and Key Pouch in cowhide. I love the new lining, so I hope the leather is just as good. I'll be receiving my package on Monday. I'll let you know if I find a big difference!

oh no.... are you going to get a replacement or refund? I was just about to place my PTTM natasha order in shopbop...maybe should wait for yours first, hope this is just an exception

I'm going to get a refund but it has been so difficult at getting in contact with DHL in Sydney, Australia. The key pouch has a lovely soft grain so I tried to show photos between the lambskin and cowhide. I definitely say everyone should give it a go and purchase PTTM11 collection, because while the flap is a bad experience, the pouch is still wonderful.

Saw a live PTTM natasha from the new collection yesterday. No magnetic closure on the main flap, but beautiful lining, in the colour of the bag itself! Saw it in dark brown and "savana" (rust/orange-y brown)

I totally agree dbaum. Its a gorgeous Autumny colour and quite an unusual shade. I'm looking forward to using this as my casual everyday bag (I was quite unable to resist it today!)

I've used my Natasha pretty regularly (not every day, but at least a few days every month... with solid every day use for almost 6 months) for the past year or so, and I've never had anything EVER fall out!

I do have the problem with the strap starting to split. It's silly that they put the seam of the two leather parts of the strap at the middle, right where it sits on top of my shoulder. Because of this the plastic (?) holding the side seams together has cracked and now it's starting to split... good to know that I'm not the only one... but I do want to see about getting it fixed!

I have both the older version in lamb leather and the current collection's cow leather and LOVE them both! I would say that the cow leather is more durable tho, it don't show scratches as much...

hey everyone! i don't know whether or not this was mentioned before, i tried to do a search on it but didnt find anything. i just wanted to find out how the PTTM hardware holds up? i just got a black w/ gold HW one from this season and im a bit worried about how sensitive the HW is, whether or not its easily scratched or gets discoloured if it gets wet (there too much snow in Canada!)

I have had mine for 1 year (also in Canada) - the gold HW is brushed HW with a coating so there are fine scratches if I look very closely, nothing too noticeable. No change in colour. I usually use the bag on weekends & not as a daily purse though.
