Since you usually stick to neutrals, a change in color is never a bad thing. I especially love when I see a neutral outfit paired with a bright bag or bright shoes.
If I were you, I'd keep it because the PTTM line is so cute and hard to find nowadays.

thanks tam0o!! that's so true! when i got it i was wearing a grey sweater and jeans and it just made the outfit pop! the SA kept saying that too!!

i just read a few threads about mbmj coming out with a new fall 2011 pttm line? is that true? and if so...should i wait to buy my pttm natasha? or should i keep this one...since i also read that sometime the newer ones won't be as good quality?? TIA!

I know I've read mixed reviews on the lack of a magnetic flap on the sasha and the natasha and was wondering if anyone who has used the bag for a while now is noticing any downsides? Is the flap staying put and your things not falling out?

^ I've had my Natasha for probably 6 months, have used it very frequently and I have never had an issue with the flap staying down. I've never had anything even close to falling out.

I have read a few things about the strap splitting on their Sasha bags. Has anyone had any luck getting this fixed by the repair department ay MJ? My strap has just started to go & I would like to get it sorted before it gets worse. I have emailed MJ so hopeful for a reply.

When you say the strap is splitting, what do you mean by that? As in the stitching is breaking and the strap is splitting into two pieces?

^ it's seamed in the middle with a bias seam....the stitches are probably wearing out or the leather right about there due to stress...

I know this thread has not been written in for a while, but I did a google search and its what came up. There are new pttm natashas in the fall 2011 collection too so I thought it would be ok to post here .

I just bought a pttm natasha in black (my 1st mbmj ) from shopbop.

I know some people have said that the quality on the new natashas is not as good as the older ones, but this seems to be a bit hit and miss so I just hope that I get a hit! . Fingers and everything else are crossed!

The reason that I went for a newer one is because the item description says that the bag has a magnetic-flap pocket at the front which the previous pttm natashas were missing. I have been wanting this bag for a while but that was putting me off a bit, I think its a shame and didnt understand why the non pttm natashas had a magnetic closure but the pttm's did not. I have read since though that they do all have magnetic closures on the small pocket on the front so am thinking now that that is the closure the description is refering to. It does say though magnetic-flap closure so if they are talking about the pocket then they are not being very clear.

The photos on the site show that the bag has all black lining which is just inside the bag and not on the flap, which is full leather, not mostly lining like I think I saw somewhere. So I'm hoping that this is a fall 2011 bag and that the magnetic-flap closure is one of the updates on the new bags. Does anyone know if the newer pttm natashas have the magnetic closures on the flap please? I really love this bag anyway, but would love it that bit more if it does . TIA x

oh yes.... im on the hunt of a PTTM natasha & still trying to decide whether to get the newest one from shopbop or score an older one from eBay....of course my preference is the first season or the one with pale gold birds .... but if anyone got this one with black lining can you please share your experience ?

The magnetic closure is on the very front pocket with the birds on it, not on the main pockets

I have read that the newer ones are not as good quality as the older pttms in a few places. I think that the comparison is between the first ever pttms to the more recent ones though, so I would have thought that if you are happy with last seasons then you would not notice much of a difference if any with the fall 2011 bag. That is just my opinion based on what I have read though, I have never held one of the first or last seasons pttms to compare.

I did receive my fall 2011 pttm today though and I am very happy with it It does not have a magnetic closure on the big front compartment but the zip up compartment behind goes all the way down the bag, so I will use that to put my purse and any other more valuable items anyway. If I was to complain about one thing it would be that the strap is not one continuous piece of leather, it is in 2 parts and stitched together on the part that rests on the shoulder (which takes the most weight). I was a bit disappointed with that, for the money it cost I do think it should be one full length of leather. It does look to have been sewn quite well though, so time will tell

I was wondering about the leather used in the newer natashas.
shopbop listed as the newer ones made from cowhide leather, but mine from last year is made in lamb leather, could be a difference in smooshy yummy leather?
