Yeah, I guess I understand about the prices. I haven't heard of bonanza, so I'll check out that site. Nordstrom.com only has the black and white interior, but there's a great nordstrom by me so I can always call the store and ask.

Omg! Madigan's collection is out of control...lucky girl!!

DECISION: I am ordering the black natasha from zappos (free overnight shipping, free returns, plus no tax in my state). Hopefully the leather will be a hit and not a miss. So it looks like you and I will have the same first pttm :) I'll post pics!

as someone who owned the lamb and saw & touch the cow ...let me tell you this..I would definitely pay MORE to own a 2nd hand lamb than a brand new cow-hide ...not just the way it looks, shines, fold are so much better, it feels so much softer to touch the lamb version....

be patient ...someday it will pops on ebay... i waited forever for my mash brown sasha.. and it was worth it... i love it so much...got so many compliments wherever I go with her

FYI they're not advertising the sale anywhere on the site (I got a private email about it), so just pick the bag you want, go all the way through checkout and just before they charge your card, you'll see the discount. There's no code.

So today I received a first edition PTTM Sasha I purchased from Ebay, everything looks in perfect condition except for the strap. The stitching on the strap where the two pieces of leather are stitched together is ripped. This is bad because that point of the strap is what holds the weight of the bag.

Anyone have the same issue? I feel like the strap is very flimsy and thin for such a large bag. The one on my PTTM Natasha seems more durable. And is there a fix for the ripped seams? Please let me know, I'm currently contacting the seller too for a possible refund because they didn't describe this in their listing :shucks:

I know there is a Marc Jacobs repair center where you can get your bags repaired, that is where I recently sent my MBMJ Huge Hillier to get repaired. I am still waiting to get it back, it usually takes 6 weeks to process, I've been told. I just emailed [email protected] and sent them a message describing my repair issue, along with 1-2 pictures of the problem, and they replied to me with the information to send it to them and get it repaired (free of cost, except for the shipping to the repair center). Hope this helps, good luck.

Thanks for the tip! I've actually been trying to contact the repair center this week for an entirely different issue -- regarding the leather quality of the fall '11 PTTM Natasha I have. I was directed there by MJ customer service (who by the way respond very quickly). Repair center still has not responded, and the phone number always goes to voice mail even during business hours.

Do you think it would be worth it to send the Sasha in for repair? Would taking it to a leather repair shop be equally as good and take less amount of time? I'm guessing it's a quick fix? The strap looks like it just needs to be restitched?

Another member had a similar problem! The link to their post is here: http://forum.purseblog.com/marc-jacobs/mj-reapir-center-452631-11.html#post20043545 (I hope that links properly).

I think the strap is the only downfall to the bag. I would try and get it repaired by MJ, unless you know a really good leather repair shop. Good luck with it though.

Yup, I agree, MJ should know best how to repair their own bags. My repair issue on my Hillier was very minor as well, but I'd rather wait longer and be sure that my bag is safe :smile1:. I will try to post the results as soon as I get my baby back, which I'm thinking will be right after New Years!

Yes, my Sasha is ripped there as well. It is a common problem with the PTTM, but especially the Sasha, because it carries more weight on average. However, after contacting MJ, they are unwilling to help me. I'll probably look up a bag repair place, I suppose.

Thanks for all the suggestions! And thanks for the link starbunny! I will continue to attempt contacting MJ Repairs, but at the same time I'll go get it checked out by a local leather repair place and see what they say.

In the meantime... I will use the strap from my black PTTM Natasha. It's a bit shorter but works just as well :p

Best of luck with your Sasha too Madigan! Hehe I think it was after I saw your PTTM size comparison thread that I randomly saw one on ebay and decided to get it :amuse:
