For advice on how to obtain a B/K/C please go to the reading room in the Reading Room The Newbie's HOW DO I GET A BIRKIN (or other bag) Reading Room

For advice on how to shop at your local store please do a search in Hermes Shopping sub-forum and look for your store/region/country.

Hi! I’ve made Hermes purchases in Europe and US and all as wondering if the computer systems are linked so stores in Europe know what was purchased in US and vice verse? Just curious thanks!!

No worries! Good luck with the new relationship building! My recommendation is to buy things you love (vs. just buying to buy) and find that SA you have a personality fit with. Enjoy your new location too!
Thank you dear! I don’t have a problem finding things I love to buy, because I’m totally crazy about scarfs, twillies and enamels. Let’s see if I can find a SA to love...

Totally agree with this... you want to love what you buy and enjoy your experience in store.[/QUOTE
Can’t wait to enjoy my experience! :flowers: As per what I’ve been reading here and since I will be in the countryside anyway, I will start by visiting every single store in London with my scarf wishlist and see how does it work.

I have an SA that I recently started working with since January. She has been great and always responds to my email within an hour. She has ordered me multiple items from other locations. I sent her an email telling her that I’m interested in getting a birkin and kelly and asked for any suggestions she may have so that I can get it. She hasn’t responded to that email. She emailed me today telling me my earrings are in but no acknowledgment of the other email. What should I make of this situation?

Remembering how I purchased my first bag....after a couple of years of buying SLG, scarves, etc., my SA asked whether I was interested in a Kelly. Of course, I said yes. My recommendation is to have a conversation with your SA in person; it's a subject not amenable to email.

Should I bring it up next time I see her? Or wait until after a few more encounters?
I guess my fear is if I wait too long and she leaves the company.

I have a chance to do some traveling in the next few years. Would it be better for me to buy big items like handbags in my home store (South Coast Plaza, CA) to build my profile and SA relationship rather than buy it internationally even if I'm able to save money?

For me I like to speak with my SA face to face when making a request for b or k, I feel it’s more connected this way without have to wait for her reply and it gives you some idea of her reaction or her opinion during the conversation, I do follow up and remind her every time I stop by for another purchase. I remember when I request for my first Constance in store, I was there to pick up my ring that my Sa ordered for me , after I paid for it, and I ask if you have a Constance in store today? It doesn’t hurt to try ask for it and luckily my SA does and offered me one:) don’t be afraid to ask or simply brought up to the conversation.

I would bring it up the next time you see her face to face. I don't believe they are allowed to say much/anything about B/K/C over email. I've emailed my SA my B and C wishlists but only after being instructed to do so because they wanted a written list to refer to as shipments came in. However, those emails were responded to by phone calls, not in a written form, and only when needed.

This is the opposite of what everyone suggested a few weeks ago. No one suggested emailing about a B/K, everyone said the bag conversation was something to do face to face and to do casually. The will not put B/K stuff in email unless as previously stated it's regarding a wishlist or a bag already offered.

Maybe I'm misunderstanding what you said but did you ask her what you should buy so you can get a bag??? That was probably not a good move. Their emails are monitored and that's an aggressive question to ask. I've watched clients put the SA on the spot by saying "what do I have to buy to make a bag appear" and it's very uncomfortable to watch.

I think you need to either move on from the "game" and buy what you want on the resale market or develop some patience and wait for your store/SA to ask what you want. The more you bring it up or act pushy, the less likely you are to get what you want. Also, you might want to research exactly what bag, leather and colors you're interested in. Being completely open to whatever when it comes to a $10K bag is rather unusual.

I think some people said it was ok to ask on email if that is our normal method of communication. Not sure if it was this thread of another.
I kind of just asked her for any suggestions on what I can do to be considered for getting the bags I want. I have a list of bags/colors that I want in my mind already.
Well since she knows I want one now I’ll leave the ball in her court to offer me one when she can.
I’m not really in a rush anyway. I have barely worn the ones I currently have. I just wanted her to know that I’m interested I guess.

Yes, I send my SA my bi yearly wishlist in January and July and whenever I make other purchases in store, my SA always has a surprise for me...if I remind and ask! Any intel on the European and US computer systems being linked? Thanks!

Pretty sure they are not. Or at least if they are, it's a VERY recent development.
