hello all, new to hermes world and so happy to see all the great photos!

can i check how do you guys first establish a relationship with hermes SA?
Just walk in the store browse a bit and spark up a convo if one approaches you or seems available. I make sure to speak to many SA while I'm with my SA. For example, she may be going upstairs to grab inventory and I will compliment another SA or chat with them. I visit a couple of times a month also now but I am after a few specific things so thats why I visit so frequently. Whenever, I go in if my SA isn't on the floor, another will say "Does X know you are here yet?" and will either go and get them or ensure they are made aware.

My first experience was random. There was a Maxi Twilly I wanted & called the store to see if they had it. The person I spoke with & bought the MT from became my future SA. After the initial purchase I would go to the store periodically. Met other SAs. Somehow it became known that my original SA was mine

Whatever the game might, not everyone shopping at Hermes is after a Birkin or a Kelly, so don't expect SA's to be psychic. Be honest.
If you don't let them know why they are being courted, you could be waiting a very long time.
I made my 1st Hermes purchase last week when I went in for a bastia. Found a great SA that I will certainly go to for future purchases. He's been with the company for 4 years, so I'm assuming that's pretty new. I don't mind waiting as I have to save up for "it" anyways. How soon do I let him know my intentions?

You are in the exactly situation when I was first trying to build a relationship with my SA, I was confused if I should switch to a different SA due to she never respond my call or email but friendly when we met, IMO every SA plays different strategy, It takes time to learn and know the way of your SA does, even tho I already established a good relationship with my SA now, she had fulfilled most of my wishlist ,I still not able to reach her through the phone mostly, so I just not to call her and try to stop by the shop let her know my wish, pick out a couple stuffs every visit, I bet that’s what my SA wants, I notice the treatment gets better over a period of time which she starts to send me holiday notes and reply my email more often.

I've been in the same boat, and I walked from my home store. I purchased a few things, promised items from my wish list, and I stumbled into an H store on vacation and the rest was history! You should jive with your SA. My current SA never plays games, and I'm forever loyal now. I now turn up my nose at my home store. Everything comes full circle!

At the end of the day, it's your money and you should only buy what you love. Good luck & my advice is to stop in other H stores when you travel.

I should also point out that relationships don't mature overnight. I was an H customer for 6 years before I was offered a B, however I was a "walk in" to my current SA. Good things don't come easy!

I wanted to have my first SA as an SA because she always talked to me about scarves, she was also more enthusiastic than the others. I learned her name from a receipt and just started asking for her everytime I went to the store. Sadly she quit working at Hermes, and I miss her, hehe.

I recently got a new SA, she is new at Hermes but I noticed her because she always compliment my scarves and she likes to laugh a lot. I just went straight to her when I wanted to buy something, and she gave me her card a couple of days ago and told me to call whenever I want to do some shopping.

If you find an SA you like then you should shop from that person and make some nice conversations.

Hi ladies it’s so good to hear your input. I
New hear and feels so frustrated but know that I have to be patient for something beautiful like a Birkin. I have been with my SA for a while now and she keeps telling me that I am on the list. I almost feel like I have to buy something from the store just so I get offered a bag. I am not sure if any ladies here are familiar with Washington DC store and was wondering if anyone has ever been offered a bag from them. It seems like nobody I know has ever been offered a bag from that store
Thank you

Unless you’re very lucky - and it happens - or are extremely patient to the point of being lucky, I get the sense you have to buy something to be considered for a bag (build purchase history, etc.) You’re building a relationship, and at the end of the day your SA is a salesperson, and the store is a business. Patience, flexibility, and - maybe most important - an open wallet - are key... Good luck and can’t wait for your reveal soon!

Absolutely!

Well doesn’t almost everyone who shops at hermes? Lol.

Yes, I just need to get over it. I have not had any interactions really with other SAs and do not want to be known as that person who switched SAs but what can I do. I also know that I am not the only one who has been frustrated by this sa because I’ve chatted with another tpfer on here who knows this sa and has had the same problems!

I don't think so, but we all want what we want.

My home store is the Washington DC store and there are definitely bags offered but to those who have a history in the store. Each SA is likely fulfilling a wishlist of over 50 people or more. I would say be patient but also show that you love the brand outside of a Birkin. As I get to know my sA my love for Hermes expands and things I didn’t think I liked before I do now.
