I am unsure if this is the correct thread for this question. Please excuse me if not.

Do you think the colors of QBs (besides wishlist aspect) can be dictated by the color of other H items you buy? For example, if I happened to buy pink shoes, bracelets, RTW, etc … is there more likely of a chance that my SA/ SM would see that and think that a pink bag is a better option to offer over other colors.

It feels a little common sense-ish in that if I buy a color, I must like that color. My SA has told me let’s try for a mini Kelly as next QB and I am really hoping for pink, even though I chose a multitude of colors for my wishlist. I am wondering if buying pink items that I love will help with that.
in the US, just tell your SA exactly what you want, if you know it. At FSH, I think the SA might bring you something she thinks you might like based on how she interprets your fashion aesthetic and preferences. In the US not so much. just my experience with my Madison and FSH SAs

ETA: If you tell a US SA that you want x bag in pink but you equally love other colors, her SM migh prefer that next pink bag to go to a client who has refused other colors and is waiting for one pink bag. I never know what I want until I see something and have to have it, but my SAs do know my preferences

I guess in my mind it’s that I wouldn’t mind a green or red or yellow, but pink would be my “dream”.

You think if I communicate that it’ll make sense? Or is it more worth it to say “I solely prefer pink”?
Do not over think it. I think SAs are good at paying attention to us and your SA can already tell you like pink based off of your orders. Tell them pink is your dream but you are also open to other colors.

In relationship-based boutiques, a good SA would often offer bags that are more "inline" with your past purchases / general taste, unless you specifically tell them a color that you want or don't want. For example, I wear a lot of neutrals, and so I wouldn't expect my SA to randomly show me a pink bag ever, unless I specifically tell them that I'm looking to add a pop of color to my collection.

Ask for the exact shade of pink you want!! I kept asking my sa for mauve s and got an so offer when that was being offered as a color option. I think it helps if you tell them you want pink first if possible.. but would be okay with xyz of pink doesnt Happen.

Ask for the pink u want and accept nothing else. If u ask for pink and accept any random colour, u r never gonna get what u want. To the SA, u don’t know what you want. So, she may or may not take u seriously in future.

If u like pink on every non bag item, just go for it. But if u don’t, don’t do that. There r limited stocks for each and every very piece. Just for illustration, If u took a pink bastia when in fact u really like a yellow one, next time a yellow one comes about, the SA may not give you chance to buy it because u had a bastia already, time to let someone else get one.
Of course the example won’t happen if there r an abundance of bastia around in your store.

Has anyone had any experience with item transfers from another boutique? Will the SA do it, or is it a pain for them? And will it count towards my prespend?
My SA has done it for me. He said he still earns commission on it so it should help your profile in some ways.

That being said, it is a bit of a pain because the other store has to agree to let the item go. If it’s a very popular item, your SA might not bother since the other store is likely going to say no.

Transfers these days are difficult. With inventory so low, many stores don’t want to let go of items for another store to sell and get credit for. Instead, they are more willing to do a charge send from the sending store, which gives the sending store credit for the sale and your SA credit for facilitating the sale. But that means you are buying it sight unseen and doesn’t work too well if it’s an item you are unsure of or need to try on first.

Best just to ask your SA for the item you want and let them know whether it’s a “I want this 100%, no need to try it first” vs “I’m kind of interested in this item but not sure which size will work so I’ll need to try it on first”. Then it will be up to your SA to source it however works best for them and for your circumstance.

Thank you. My friend from a different store asked if an item I wanted is in stock (which there happened to be 1 left) so I'm worried her SA now will not let the item go because she would want commission on that item, instead of my SA. It's something I would 100% want, but not sure if I should just order through my friend and forgo it counting towards my prespend to avoid drama.

Nah, just ask your SA for it. Your SA might grab it from an entirely different store or if that’s the only one left, it’s up to the SM not your friend’s SA. And again, they would likely do it as a charge send, not a transfer so the SM would probably be fine with it.

Hey y’all, looking for advice here. I just decided to increase my spend with a new SA and ordered some shoes all in different sizes on a whim . I am a half size and most options I was looking for were available in full sizes and she has to order them for me from other stores, so I didn’t get a chance to try on. Obviously regret it now since I might have ruined my chances for a qb considering one of the sizes will probably not work out for me and I might need to make a return/exchange. How badly did I mess up? And should I even mention anything to my SA about returns/exchanges?

I’m surprised your SA went along with ordering these shoes in random sizes. Regardless, nothing to do about it now other than return the ones that don’t fit. If your SA has any sense, she’d be expecting the returns.

More importantly though, after seeing your posts elsewhere...the most important thing in Hermes shopping, imo, is picking one SA in one store and being loyal to them. It’s nearly impossible to get a quota bag as a random first time shopper at a new store unless you drop major cash (and even then, not likely). You are much better off putting all your spending power behind one relationship.
