Hi all, I recently just got offered a mini C in alligator by another SA out of state while I was asking for constance to go. With no hesitation I said yes! This was my very first offer. I have been working with SA in my home boutique but so far has no luck (she’s still new, my former SA quit last year).

I do have a wishlist for B, the SA who got me the C has updated my wishlist and he’s willing to work with me. Now my question is what do I do with my home boutique SA? Should I just keep working with both of them? TIA

I include a gift receipt with a gift so the recipient can choose something more to their liking if they prefer. My SA and store know and respect this and never update me. I always hope to pick a great gift but if the gift recipient can find something more to their liking and - I hope - have a fabulous experience at Hermes picking out something for themselves, it can be a great outcome.
+1

I always mention to my SA if the item I buy is for a gift. Then a gift receipt (without price) is included and my SA always mentions that the recipient can always exchange it with the gift receipt.

I truly do not see how exchange can hurt my profile when the process is in place and endorsed by the store itself. I would say, go ahead and exchange and there’s no need for heads up. It’s just like any other gift giving/exchange exercise. And I personally think the gift receipt is such an elegant way to address exchanges if the gift isn’t suitable.

The SA I’ve been shopping with for the past 9 months told me they are moving into another role at the company, and offered to transition my profile to another SA. I am at about 1.2x for my QB, but they said there are a number of people who have requested the same specs and that I just need to be patient. How would you suggest proceeding at this point and what should I think about for when I begin my new relationship with the new SA? Previously, my SA had mentioned my QB would be coming early this year, but hadn’t come through. This would be my first ever QB. Appreciate any and all perspectives

If u read the spend threshold for bkc thread, country specific threads, or even in last 10 pages of current thread, u will realised some customers are still waiting for their offers at 2:1, 3:1, 4:1, etc. So you can chill. Depending on where you are and what you request for, you may wait some more.

i can only advise for Singapore where I had a change of SAs. Just buy as per usual. Whenever I see something I like. Remind as and when I remembered my outstanding items.

I do this too. My SA also knows that I would refer the recipient to him for any issues

+1 with smoothsailor re everything, esp. being patient and continuing to buy as per usual. My local store is Madison Ave, NY

Same feedback with others above also applicable for DE/CH (judging from your user ID). These countries operate with a wait list.

Question please, i recently bought an item online, recommended by my SA as the store has long sold out and SA here cant do online orders like other countries. I picked it up in store and ended up not liking it. My SA offered to do an exchange and i got something else over the exchanged amount with her. Question is would this now count towards pre spend with my SA instore or still online? I forgot to ask her at check out :hrmm:

I saw some discussions about returning online orders to store over there in the "In store shopping vs online" thread. Perhaps that is your question too? Hope that helps :D

Sorry about your experience, I did raise this with SM and have a good SA now. They are not prompt but do respond compared to earlier when I could only get response/reply when in store. All the best!
Would you be able to offer any insight on how to approach the SM with this type of conversation? I'm at a similar situation where I'm at 19K spend with an SA and since I've reached almost 2:1, he's basically been ignoring my messages / I can only get a response if I run into him at the boutique

Hi~~ I was curious if SA will only allow you to put in a wishlist when they deem you worthy to be eligible for a QB? Im about 1:1 so far and have hinted about my dream bag but my SA just said "you will get there!" but hasn't really taken notes or anything about a wishlist. I was curious if they only take it in when they are more serious about it, or if you can get started on a wishlist earlier on in the journey. I know there probably isn't hard or fast rules on this, just wondering what other people's experiences are!

Hello folks! I was active in playing the game from 2016-2020. I used to score 2 quotas a year, constance, key pochettes, offered 3 SOs and exotic. I was also invited to a gala opening of my home store. My pre-spend was about a $5K-$6K before offers. I stopped playing the game when Covid hit because at that time, luxury purchases were not important to me. I continued to buy small items here and there in 2021-2022 to keep a connection with my SA. This year, I am ready to jump back in the Hermes game. I still have the same SA, though she got promoted to selling supervisor seriously. I know it’s gotten hard to get offers now since the pandemic. I want to manage both my spending and expectations. How much do I have to spend for an offer now?

Many have commented that it has been tougher since the pandemic and 3x's isn't uncommon. Luckily, you have had a good relationship with your SA so keep buying things you love and be patient with quota offers. They simply aren't happening with the same frequency as before, but they will happen over time. Happy shopping!

4:1 - 5:1 in competitive boutiques.

I am approaching 1.2:1 spend at my store (Bellevue, WA USA) and my SA has brought up my preferred bag specs multiple times recently . I assume a bag should be coming within the next 3-6 months. I hope this answer is helpful.

If you go through previous pages in this thread you'll see ratios of approximately 2-3:1 on average in the last year or so for a quota bag.

It depends what you want. There are some bag specs everyone wants and some bag specs are much harder to sell.
