Hi all!
I had a question about my SA ordering items for me online if they are not in store. I was wondering if the store themselves receives the “sale”.

For example, I saw a blouse I loved. If it’s available in my size online and my SA orders it for me, does the credit still go to the store itself? I remember once when they didn’t have boots in my size, she ordered for me and shipped to my house. Does it make a difference if I pick it up “in store”?

I am trying to figure out what is best for my SA and best for my store in terms of my profile.

Thank you ahead of time.
Your SA gets commission on the item but your boutique doesn't get the "credit", like they would selling an item from their inventory. Please someone clarify or correct me if I'm wrong.

Hi all, this might be a very basic question..But basically my old SA left, and I recently just met with a new SA and shopped for a pair of leather pants during the first visit. Upon returning home and examining the pants more closely, I felt like there's a spot that's either slightly damaged or discolored. I wanted to go back and ask for an exchange in the same size or at least a leather cleaning (not sure if Hermes has this). But since I just met this SA and shopped once with him, would this reflect badly on me? I do want to have a more perfect pants though because it's also not a cheap item. Any inputs would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

The effect on the relationship is kind of a moot point since you aren’t (and shouldn’t be) willing to accept a flawed item. Going to someone with an issue/problem is never great in any facet of life but it is what it is and hopefully the store will be understanding. I’d make it a priority to go back ASAP to get things cleared up.

+1 Don't settle if something isn't right, and I'm sure your SA will be happy to help. The nice thing about what you said is that you would like to exchange or get it cleaned, showing that you genuinely want it to work out!

I recently purchased a pair of earrings ( it was fine jewellery - not costume jewellery), then 2 days later returned it for some orans and belt, as it just didn't suit me. Unfortunately, my SA was out of town and I was leaving as I don't live in that state, so I exchanged it with another SA. Do you think my SA will be unhappy with this? I have spent nearly 1;1 and have not received my QB and after this incident, I am concern she will not even think to offer me a bag after this incident? Anyone have any input?

I also have a dilema:

Option 1) It is also my bday coming up, and I wanted to give her a call to have an honest discussion about my spending ratio. Personally, I would rather her be upfront with me and let me know what I need to buy, is this a good idea?

Option b) don't ask my SA about the spend ratio. I also like their watch, so my other option is to just tell her I want to order the watch, and hope that she will offer me a bag, as that will push my spending ratio to over 1:3

I am in Asia

Please let me know your thoughts...much appreciated.

I really believe that SAs dislike returns, but that may because I myself am against returns. (I visit a few times and think about an item, rather than buy and return). Your answer probably depends on the strength of your current SA relationship. If you are at 1:1, I assume the relationship is relatively new, and I don’t think that is enough for a QB at this time. But, I’m not based in ASia. I would ask on the specific Asian thread, ie, Singapore, Hong Kong etc. I also prefer to give my SA as much time as possible (not pressure as to a specific event). I believe spend does not count on an order that has not come in yet. if I were in your position, I would rather have this discussion in person.

@StamfordH , if the spot is true defect, then there should be no issue in correcting it.
If it’s something that is due to natural variation in leather, then that might be seen as aggravating
either way, you would want it addressed asap as per @acrowcounted

I definitely asked. To me, part of the relationship building is getting to know me as well - a person that asks questions.

I got offered a constance, definitely a desired bag, last July. I asked my sa if me accepting the constance would slow the process of me getting b and she said no. HOWEVER, the constance that I got offered was an exact match to my wishlist and as of today I still haven’t been offered a b. So I personally don’t know if it did or didn’t. I just know I haven’t gotten a b offer yet lol.
For me, it didnt affect. I asked my SA if getting a non qb will affect the arrival of my qb. She said no. I double checked with another SA from another store. It was the same answer.

I was offered a mini lindy (Gold with GHW) two months before my Birkin 30 in Barenia came. Two months later, I got a mini Bolide in etoupe GHW. I'm not a big spender at all.

That’s great! I know for my store stock is low and we have a good amount of high spenders. I’ve come to terms with until stock is better the multiple bags yearly probably will be a no go. I even think my local store is more about the relationship and less about the spend (although it helps)!

Thank you for getting back to me. Much appreciated.

I am still in a dilemma as to whether or not I should just ask upfront about how much spend ratio she requires from me? I would rather know and work towards it rather than just keep waiting? Does anyone have experience with their SA where they will tell you what they expect? Is the ratio set by the Store manager or is it based on what the SA want you to spend?

check out post 13387 and many others if you are in Singapore

or you can read here: post 557 and many others

i do think in Asia it seems more regimented, and I would still advise not calling but asking in person
good luck !

From this forum and what I have heard from my SA, 1:1 is unlikely to be enough for new clients in Asia unless you get very lucky and you are not after popular specs. In my experience, my SA did initiate the convo and share approximately how much more was needed when I was approaching or slightly over 1:1, not the exact amount but in terms of around X pieces of this and that item. As for who sets the ratio, this is just conjecture, but my sense is that in my case it is based on what my SA thinks is needed to get approval from SM for my requested specs to be allocated to me, and my SA’s overall client pool influences the number e.g if my SA has a few other clients who were allocated the same popular specs recently, my SA will have to build a stronger case why one more should be allocated to me. So, there may not be an absolute number.

Agree with @880’s advice to ask in person. SAs are very cautious about what they will discuss over the phone as they can get into trouble since phone calls can be recorded and posted online.

Hello! I’m relatively new to this journey starting in 2021 @ Madison, but then I had a baby and had a 1-year hiatus. This fall I was offered/purchased a Halzan, and since then I’ve gotten a few scarves/stoles, and more recently a hat, 2 scarves for wall decor, and also got a mini Evelyne for my mom’s birthday it was good timing :)

My SA knows I am interested in K25 (and I think agrees larger sizes don’t suit my very petite frame).

Based on reading some of these threads, have I ruined my chances of getting this bag by getting these 2 other bags relatively recently? I gently mentioned the bag, and she basically said “hopefully”?

She had told me to reach out in March when bags would restock, but then did not reply to me when I inquired. But we did set up an appt in a week from now. Should I bring it up in person?

Any other departments I should consider exploring? I may try some shoes and another hat, maybe some jewelry. Although I love the scarves and bags most; they are artwork to me!
