Hahaha I bet. The supply shortage is unreal and I’m so grateful that I genuinely love everything I’ve been able to get at H.

Was your first qb (k/b) a surprise , offered to you on a random appointment? Or did the SA hint at a surprise was waiting?
I’m one of the rare few who got offered a B on my first trip to Hermes. I bought a scarf and asked about bags and walked out with a Feu B35! After all these years I can be quite direct with my SA about my wishlist.

Both of my Birkins were a total surprise. I went in to pick up some shoes and the bags were brought out to me. The first one was black, the second one Nata.

Was this recently? Ive only just started my profile and I’ve bought almost 0.5-1 as I’ve found many many nice things I enjoy at H. Trying to slow down though per the advice of many people here… can someone tell me how long the SA can hold a local store transfer Avalon blanket for?

I got my Black B30 in December 2021 and my Nata B30 in June 2022. I received them about six months apart. I do see my SA a lot. Most of the time I'm picking up an order. Sometimes I'm just in the area and pop in to say "Hey."

Ok good tips for me, thank you! Sounds like u place most orders through texting your SA? How soon after your h journey did u get your first b?

That's correct. I mostly text him what I like/want/thinking about. If he knows I'm coming by, he'll set aside things he thinks I'll like or he'll text me pics of new things that have arrived. I think it took about 7 or 8 months maybe before I was offered my first Birkin. I don't know how it is at other Hermes stores, but I never got the impression that I had to spend a certain amount. I have a really good relationship with my SA and we talk very candidly. They don't want you to ask about "prespend". They don't want you to buy things you don't love to get a bag. The best advice I can give is just be yourself, be patient, and buy what you love. It's ok to let them know what you're interested in but then let ago. Lol. It'll happen.

That’s very good! You must’ve kept buying. Since you’ve been doing this for almost a decade, have there been times where u feel like you’re going to run out of stuff to buy? Lol
Luckily I’ve never felt like I need to keep buying to get offers, I buy what I like and feel comfortable declining items my SA suggests for me. She’s great about calling or texting when she gets things in she thinks I’d like. I usually make an effort to come see things she suggests and use the opportunity to chat and catch up.

Thank you. I agree as I would never spend the money to buy something I didn’t like. Like most people I’d love to own a b/k because I genuinely like the shape of it but if I don’t or never get to, so be it. Reading up about the process has been eye opening from a consumer and marketing point of view.

That's the right attitude. I didn't realize they were so hard to get until I got offered one (and yes, initially turned it down. So glad I went back to the store and got it). Since getting my first Birkin, I've watched a few videos on the Hermes "journey". It's so crazy.

Yes those are definitely hard to come by especially now but still a considerable amount of money to invest in a bag so if the SA offers me something I don’t want or like, I’ll decline. I don’t have FOMO and I’m not spending over $10k for something I don’t like or enjoy.

I think my SA was going to offer me my first qb ( a c18) as he talked to me about it yesterday. He didn’t outwardly say one was available for me or that he was going to offer me one. Instead he just asked if I would be interested in one when we were in store yesterday. He then said he would show me one if he had it in person next time. Today when texting him about some orans, I confirmed that I wasn’t interested in the c as the shape and size wasn’t to my liking so I wouldn’t buy it. I think he took it well cuz he replied with “fair enough, i got u!” ( thru text message). Hopefully he’s not going to take it personally. What do u think?

I think you're fine and your SA should appreciate your honesty :)
