Hi everybody! Looking for some advise, any help is greatly appreciated!
I was at FSH paris store last august, after buying few men’s shoes and RTW pieces, same SA “found” Kelly 28 for me. She gave her business card, we exchanged couples of emails afterwards (she works in Men’s section)
Me and husband are going to Paris again, I emailed her, advising on our future visit. She replied asking for specific items we are looking for to prepare them for our appointment.

Question - should I mention in email that I would like to purchase quota bag this time as well? I will apply for online appointments too, but chances for that are not too high)
Yes I think so. Perhaps mention it as a casual thing like “oh, I’m also looking for a xx, and would appreciate anything similar as I know inventory has been difficult in these times”

If it makes you feel better … I request transfers … a lot
Oh same here! My SA wouldn’t mind at all when she has to do transfers as long as I can wait, which I also don’t mind. For some reason, Every time I want something, it either sold out in the US or only 1 left. My SA always offered me to do worldwide search but she also said it will take months before I get it. I was like by all means, do what you feel comfortable with, I’m in no rush. If it meant for me = great. If it weren’t meant for me that’s ok too. :giggle::giggle::giggle: It’s retail shopping and therapy for my sanity after all:panic::graucho::lol::lol:

Was just saying that I request all my items from two stores in different countries. The SAs have been the ones to offer to search and transfer. In these Covid times of course they can't always get the items sent so they let me know which nearest store have it and give their blessings to purchase there. My Paris RTW SA has been very transparent as well. She will request a few days to consolidate my request list and whatever pieces she cannot locate, she lets me know before we finalise my shipment. Different countries, stores and even SAs work differently is, glad mine try quite diligently and without much pressure from me. I am in no way a VIP but Hermes shopping for me has always been enjoyable and very easy.

Stop. I think I speak for many who frequent the Hermes forum that @periogirl28's wisdom, experience and sage advice in regards to how to approach Hermes is well received and welcomed. Even though I don't know you personally, I know you are extremely well versed in the H world and happy to share your wealth of knowledge to others who may be just starting out. I have NEVER taken @periogirl28 posts as bragging by far, but more so insider knowledge into the Hermes world.

@Justlikewhatilike, please stop your projecting your dissatisfaction with YOUR Hermes experience on everyone else. Yes, you aren't happy that you haven't received whatever quota bag after spending a ton of money at your store, but that's between you and your boutique, not you and the rest of this forum.

Seriously, take a breather, and pause please.

?????

Excuse me?

I think there r ppl who are satisfied with their experience and there are some who r not satisfied. I am not projecting my dissatisfaction on everyone else. In fact, I am sharing how I am not satisfied in some ways and I hope some people who have similar expectations as me would be warned that they could experience such with Hermes.

I am quite sure some would feel very happy with their experience. But I don’t see anything wrong with my comment as well.

To put things in perspective, I have the following items outstanding:
1. Fine jewellery 100% paid - waited 11 months, no news no update. Last update upon pressing in Sep 2021. Status changed to “pending” interpreted as pending shipment from Paris.
2. fine jewellery 50% paid - waited 6 months, no news no update
3. Shoes 50% paid - waited 6 months from WWS, no news no update
Requested to switch the deposit to something else but was refused.
4. Rtw 50% paid - waited 2 weeks, SA said to put in a deposit to request from Paris as the store did not order my size. Promised that I would be able to use the store credit towards other items if Paris rejected the request.

just received a text this few hours ago from my SA that my RTW arrived at the store.

For all these items, I truly love them and sourced for them on my own, requested for them and was told I need to make a deposit…which is why I am still waiting for them. I appreciate my SA’s help on them as well and do want her to get the credit. But it doesn’t sit well with me I’m funding their operating capital. Lol…whatever part of it.

I’ve so far received my quota bags pretty on time as well with timeline projection for the next ones. My quota bags arrived like clockwork in comparison with my other items. I’m pretty happy with that aspect. But there is also request from SA to be spending.

C’est La vie

If this thread is supposed to help people, it is important to be able to relate to where the experiences eminate.
I think we have all worked out by know that justlikewhatilike's experiences relate to Singapore.
Is this typical there?
Actually I’m pretty sure that even in Singapore, other customers may have a whole different world of experience compared to mine. Like stuff specially curated being offered to them on a silver platter.

I’m thinking of writing to Paris about the ****ty experience of paid item and waiting for so long without any timeline of delivery at all. Can anyone advice if that would hurt relations with local store and SA?

I had feedback to my SA quite a few times, but no visible action taken on that I can see.

Hey! I know that H has a return policy for credit but has anyone's SA been not so good to them after? Sorry for asking; I just did my first (!) return this afternoon and I don't want things to sour with my SA. She's been very good to me.

Hermes, as much as it tries, cannot equalise all shopping experiences globally. Even in one major city, the experience will be different store to store depending on the staff, locale, placement of boutique v concession etc.

How you're treated is also dependent on your history with the store(s) and length of that history.

Therefore, do not take the experience of others personally.

Members are here to help one another, positive experiences are as welcome as outpourings of frustration, no arguments as to which one is valid or reflection of worthiness.

For discussion about H Singapore please do so Here

My personal advice to anyone who is repeatedly treated badly in/by any store/online of any company is STOP shopping there :ok: .

Just my opinion: In general, if the shopping experience is bad, is see nothing wrong about tellling the company. Simply stop shopping doesn't make it better for others. For example: if a SA is rude at the supermarket or other department store to me, then i write a complaint to the store manager (i live in europe). Otherwise they don't know. In this particular case it's not so easy, because most of the customers want a quota bag from the store. And Hermes knows that...
I can understand why Justlikewhatilike is annoyed and i would also be not very happy in that situation.
