For advice on how to shop at your local store please do a search in Hermes Shopping sub-forum and look for your store/region/country.

As with Hermes, everything is much more complicated.

I can only get a store credit if my order was rejected. But it’s not the case….

I don’t know where you shop, but that simply is not true. H can offer a refund or a store credit - it’s the client’s choice.
Also, I continue to see your posts and I think I had mentioned this before, but I still don’t know that this brand is a good fit for you. It seems that your many experiences shopping with H do nothing but bring you frustration.

Whatever I know was told to me. But of course, I can bring in various consumer protection laws, etc. which I am very sure I can ultimately get a refund.

But it won’t help with maintaining good relationship which Hermes cares about, does it…

If you had seen far back enough, I also said that I might not have started this relationship had I known or read about such lousy experiences galore.

Just because it’s started, doesn’t mean it must continue…

Just started my newest relationship 2 years ago in an Asian country which is super competitive and mainly favours locals. So far I just buy small items ( no fine jewellery, no watches etc) and my SAs have always been able to find what I want, porcelain is mainly what I purchase as it is too much hassle to order and ship from Paris. So far knowing my preferences I have been offered a Barenia C18, Rose Shocking B25, TPM Evies and Mini L which are the only things I am interested in. My SA has offered Pegasus Rodeos and Bric a Brac which I realise are in demand as well. I guess patience, a really good nodding relationship with all the store SAs and steady, regular support always helps. It is possible to establish a new relationship, even as a foreigner, during Covid. (Following my SA’s advice I do not bring any gifts of food etc to the store here. It’s frowned on).

It is really difficult to explain how stock can miraculously appear but early on when I started going to Paris regularly I didn't think to ask for items in advance. At one visit I met my SA and asked only for a very specific bag, Argile B30 GHW, in the morning and he said to me to please come back after lunch and we meet again. And he had that exact bag waiting. I do not know if it was expected to arrive from the ateliers, or it was on hold for someone who decided against it. My RTW SA at FSH is also able to find all the RTW I request in my size with some prior notice. So they do have a range of inventory to pull and transfer. All my requests are now emailed when I arrange appointments and that gives them time to prepare instead of scrambling during my time in Paris. I think this really reduces the time I take with my SAs and allows them to see their other clients without them waiting too much.

I was informed by my SA that because of the amount of luxury smash and grabs recently, that they’re keeping a larger amount of inventory off-site and then moving it to the store in smaller increments. So the stock is there, just not physically in the stock room until it’s brought to the boutique by their courier.

Is this in the US?

I started shopping with a new SA in Vegas last year. In the beginning she treated me very nicely and within a couple of months she offered a b25 without me asking. Due to omicron, I haven't gotten the chance to go to Vegas since October but I did place a small phone order in December. I've texted her 3-4 times in the past months inquiring some none bag items (rtw and fine jewelry) and she never responded..... i wait at least a week between each text. I am not sure why she's been ignoring my texts....I know she's not on vacation. Has anyone experienced similar situation and how did you handle it?

Oh I see. I was only posting about FSH because it is my home store and I have most of my experience shopping there, and some other stores in Asia. Thank you for adding this information.

My I add that apart from the C18, I did not purchase any of the other bags as they were not the specs I requested or not suitable, so I left them for other local customers. My SA remains on the lookout and we both wait patiently.

why not call your sA either on her cell or the store phone to speak to her directly. she may simply be inundated with walk ins (many people ar now traveling within the US, or your SA could be taking shifts off in rotation with other staff members. It was my understanding when staff took time off that they did not always have access to work texts.

another thing to remember is that if one started a relationship during Covid, certain offers may have been available when the stores were empty which are no longer ( due to increased volume of customers). Your SA may also have significantly less time than last year. as I read through this and other threads, I’m also reminded that H staff do not conduct the majority of substantive business over text and perhaps even corp culture is geared to in person communication.

this is just my surmise, of course every situation is different. so, I wouldn’t assume she’s actively avoiding or ignoring you Or anything personal.

she may also be waiting for stuff to come in; for you to make an in person appt; or make a definitive request. During Covid, h was more amenable to phone orders than the usual course of business.

i want to add, I read this thread bc I’m interested as to how other people interact with their SAs, but I don’t think other peoples relationships are necessarily applicable to mine. I don’t compare them or think bc x happened for y person, then somehow that should happen for me. We’re all different, and I don’t think there is a universal formula. Ones SA is t in charge of store stock availability or in control of her SM approvals, and covid has been hard on all of them too.

So much good sense in all of that reply.
It is important to read all the contributions to this thread in their national context, because it is clear that there are divides between expectations, from both clients and SAs, in different parts of the world.
This is a public forum and it is understandable that contributors would wish to maintain their anonymity. Nevertheless it would be helpful if it was made clear, from which continent experiences are being shared.
