Hi all, I recently purchased my first quota bag and feel super grateful! My SA is great and I honestly got it much faster that I was expecting. I’m definitely planning on enjoying this bag for a while before I get another quota bag but I do have other quota bags I’m dreaming of for the future that I haven’t yet added to my wishlist. I was wondering what people’s experiences are with adding bags to their wishlist after having bought a quota bag? I don’t want to ask too soon and seem ungrateful for the first one. I’m certainly not in a rush for another bag but generally am a planner with these kinds of things. Do people usually wait a certain amount of time or until their SA bring it up? I’d be curious to hear other people’s thoughts/experiences. Thanks!

lol my sa brings up the topic right away, sometimes as she is unboxing the first quota bag. She is pretty direct and just says “what do you want next?”
I will advise you to bring it up so they have time to plan to get you your next one? I get the impression that she needs to know some time in advance if I want a rare color.

i would just bring it up casually on your next shopping trip. i find it easier to bring up wishlist items (specifically quota bags) when I'm buying other things in-store. something like...'oh i love these gold orans and would love to add a gold birkin one day too'. something like that. and let your SA take the lead from there.

...or the casual "Oh I would love a Birkin to go with this twilly" XD

Other question: If there are multiple quota bags you are interested in do you usually tell your SA all of them or does it make more sense to add one to your wishlist, wait to get that one, and then add another bag to your wishlist? Not trying to overthink but I was just wondering people’s experience with this because I don’t want to overwhelm my SA by requesting too much when I already have 1 quota bag. There are a couple of other quota bags I have my heart set on but wasn’t sure the most respectful way to bring this up - all at once vs one by one. TIA!

The fewer options you give your SA, the more you are limiting your chances. If you are open to “any dark blue, green, or neutral B30“ for example, then say exactly that. However if your heart is set on only a “Vert cypress B30” then there is no point being more broad and you should just ask for only what you’d be happy with receiving.

I don’t know. It seems like my SA has the opposite problem where she gets very confused when I say “birkin any color.” She always says to be more specific and even messages me multiple times to determine what color I mean when I say that. Now, I just list off three specific colors when I make my requests.

Hi all!

Not sure if this is the right thread for this question (and didn't see that this has been discussed anywhere else) but has anyone been asked to fill out a client registration card to be part of a "customer book" when placing a phone order from a store? I've been a Hermes customer since 2009, though I had a roughly five-year pause in shopping after the Charlotte boutique closed in 2016 (sill sad about that). Since the CLT boutique was my "home store," I don't really have a home store, though I have recently started working with one store in particular remotely (no boutiques within a 3 hour drive of my location). I don't recall ever having been asked to fill out a hard copy client registration card before, so I wasn't sure if this is an established practice now or if this would essentially be opening a new profile with a different store.

Any insight would be appreciated!

I would never suggest “Birkin any color” but even in your example you said you give three colors so I think we are saying the same thing, ie a few options rather than just one option is more productive.

I was asked to fill out a registration card at my first in store purchase. I believe it's standard practice.

For phone orders it used to be standard to have the client fill out a form saying they are who they say they are and they authorize charges to xyz123 credit card. However, I assumed this went away with the introduction of the voxpay system so I find it curious if this was a recent interaction (and therefore likely they are setting up a new profile/client number).

I don’t think we filled out a written form at H. But we did at another premier designer boutique so we could just pick things and they would charge the card (the receipt is Delivered with the merchandise and the Apple wallet shows the amount)

I don’t really have a wish list, but my SA definitely knows what I already own (i showed him) and what I like (we kind of have the same aesthetic. i did ask about a Della cavalleria when I saw a larger one on the runway pics a while ago, so he surprised me with a mini craie which I took. It’s one of my most used bags.

For me I’m interested in a Birkin 25 in a specific neutral and a Kelly 25 in a couple different colors so I was just trying to decide if I should bring both up to add to my wishlist or spread out the requests and do them one by one? I’m not in a huge rush or anything, I just dont want to overwhelm my SA with multiple wishlist items?

Thanks for the info! I'll see if I can clarify whether this is just for their records or whether they're trying to set up a new profile.
