which one? hhahaha ^_^

Any of them won’t work out right now for you. You’re too emotional around something as calm as shopping. By how much you’re overthinking it, the SAs will smell your desperation and take you down a path you will not enjoy. Our SA recently left H and we were on the hunt for a new one and ultimately ended up back at our regular boutique because we realized we were trying too hard. Had a simple chat with our current SA and got an offer on the spot because there was no emotion behind it, just a simple ask and chat and offer. The SAs are trained almost like police dogs to smell ulterior motives.

LOL Good point.

@ladolcevita88

You've made 13 posts in less than 24 hours regarding your shopping experience at Hermes. I think you're going to drive yourself insane right now because you're so fixated on getting a quota bag. Stop overanalyzing every (mis?)step you think you've made, and hit the pause button for now.

I promise you a bag will show up in due time if you play it cool. Desperation isn't a good look on anyone, especially at Hermes

The 13 posts were replies to previous feedbacks. It is also my way of showing respect for everyone who shares their thoughts.
But yeah, I will probably stop my visit to H for now and give it a break.

I think with H you have to be patient. Many items can take a long time before they come to the store even if the store has ordered them. Unfortunatelly, sometimes things might not come, even if it was ordered. Has your SA ever offered to do a store transfer on your behalf? It is a bit difficult to advice when it is not clear what items you have asked for. It might be items that are really popular and therefore no point in the SA trying to do a transfer. I think from reading this forum, there has in many places been low inventory since covid started. Taking days to reply is not so bad, you have to consider the amount of customers they tend to.
Can you tell me what it means when an SA orders something for a client? Mine said she would order a Picotin for me, but I wondered what that meant. I know it isn’t a store transfer, and isn’t a podium order, but does that mean that the boutique can place an order with Paris? Sorry for the newbie question! TIA!

I am sorry but I can not tell you what your SA means when it comes to handbags. I would just assume she put you on the list for one and when they get one and it is your turn on the list she will let you know. Maybe others with more knowledge can explain. I was referring to for example scarves that they order for each season.

No worries, thanks!

Today I text my SA to order a few smaller items from her that would total around $2k for 4 pieces.

She responded back that she did have one of the twillies at her boutique & the other items she placed orders for me.
I said ok, great, so I can grab the available twilly today?
And her response was interesting, at least to me as a newbie.
She said she recommends that I wait for a little bit until the other items come in & to ring them all up together as a bigger order.
I’m sure it’s not because it’s hard for her to send a link for the twilly she has there, takes her 1 minute.
Of course I took her advice & said sure im totally ok to wait, no rush.

I’m assuming now that it looks better on my profile to have a $2k order vs the pieces split up into a several $200, $500 orders?

I honestly didn’t think that would reflect on our profiles one way or another if they are split up or rang as 1 larger order, but I’m assuming now that it does?

I’m sure this is common knowledge for most of you in here but I just wanted to ask if that’s the case, as I can’t recall reading about it here on tpf.

Just want to note that my SA is pretty aware im trying to build up my profile at the moment & that I’ll be going in to see here in late October for my next appt.

I think it’s just to save your time and your SA’s time. I don’t think it matters whether it’s a $2k order or several hundred-ish orders. Maybe it does matter. Who knows.

It could be that she wants to confirm that the availability of other items that she need to pull from another store and then send the payment link all at once. On time, I waited 2-3 days for her to send me the payment link since the 5 items I wanted ended up shipping to me from 3 different stores.

I think you are underestimating the time it takes to send links, confirm payment, package and ship. I also don’t believe that our sales floor SAs are the ones that do any of those steps. It is my understanding that the SAs hand off these tasks to another worker in the back room who takes care of it at their convenience. I’m guessing your SA just doesn’t want to be the one to ask another worker to go through all that trouble and expense just to ship a single twilly and then repeat it all again as each small item arrives.
