Today I text my SA to order a few smaller items from her that would total around $2k for 4 pieces.

She responded back that she did have one of the twillies at her boutique & the other items she placed orders for me.
I said ok, great, so I can grab the available twilly today?
And her response was interesting, at least to me as a newbie.
She said she recommends that I wait for a little bit until the other items come in & to ring them all up together as a bigger order.
I’m sure it’s not because it’s hard for her to send a link for the twilly she has there, takes her 1 minute.
Of course I took her advice & said sure im totally ok to wait, no rush.

I’m assuming now that it looks better on my profile to have a $2k order vs the pieces split up into a several $200, $500 orders?

I honestly didn’t think that would reflect on our profiles one way or another if they are split up or rang as 1 larger order, but I’m assuming now that it does?

I’m sure this is common knowledge for most of you in here but I just wanted to ask if that’s the case, as I can’t recall reading about it here on tpf.

Just want to note that my SA is pretty aware im trying to build up my profile at the moment & that I’ll be going in to see here in late October for my next appt.
I agree with the others. It's purely out of convenience.

I have a question on timing when to ask for a b30. Ive known my SA since 2019 but took a 1.5 year covid break since they're in a different city. I was able to see them last month and we had a wonderful time over 2 hours.

Im coming back to town this weekend and have an appointment with him. Normally, Id bring up my request during our appointment since it seems more organic in person. However I almost due with my baby and I wont likely be able to travel until the new year and I don't want to be forgotten.

Do I ask over email in hopes it can be accommodated on this trip?

Current spend is a bit over .5:1 with planned purchase for this upcoming appointment would be 1:1 - 1.5:1

Thoughts?

There's no harm in asking and I would definitely ask if you're almost due!

I’m based in Asia, from my previous experience where we have a certain min required amount for quota bags, the SA will really count one by one the amount you spent. So in my case and those based in Asia, if you clocked in a larger spend per visit it is probably easier for them to count.

Couple thoughts here that I hope you find helpful. :flowers:

First, it does not "take one minute" for her to ring up a twilly or single item. Another poster mentioned that perhaps you are underestimating the actual time it does take to ring items, send the payment link, package, etc etc..

Next thought, it doesn't look "better" on your client profile to have larger orders versus smaller orders. I think that your SA is simply saving herself time and being efficient in this instance. The boutiques and their SAs are all incredibly busy at this time, and I would imagine that the client demand is very high right now given the lack of inventory.

For me personally, as someone who has shopped with the same SA for many years, I find that she will gather items that I want over the span of a week or more before sending a payment link for everything and shipping all at once. Right now, I'm actually waiting on a payment link for a Barenia Pic0 18, several pair of shoes, some household items, etc. She'll send the link once everything is together and when she has the time. Your experience is not atypical and certainly nothing to be concerned about.

I feel there is no harm to ask about quota bags at end of your appointment :) i was a bit naive in my relationship building and just asked politely on how does the process of getting a quota bag work after some phone purchases .. and that was my indirect way to get the quota bag conversation started and i was not pushy with my SA on timeline and was open to wait and be considered :)

I think as along as you are nice and Courteous there is no harm in asking questions

Thank you so much for the lovely ladies who kindly shared your experiences and thoughts with me , I really appreciate it!
You’re right, I’m definitely underestimating the effort & Time it takes for the SA to complete a transaction from start to finish! A few times my SA sent the link to me within a minute of letting me know something was available, so I certainly took it for granted that it’s fast & simple. But I neglected to look at it as a whole that there are other elements to completing the transaction than just sending the link.

that does make a lot of sense to me that the SAs would prefer to gather pieces together over the course of a week or so and then ring them all at once. I’ve been a Chanel shopper for 15 years and I always have it in my head that if I don’t purchase on the spot the item will be gone & SAs at the most will hold something for a day.
The fact that Hermes SAs will hold an item for us for a week or so while ordering other pieces for us is just SO foreign to me. At Chanel they instantly want to ring whatever it is even a $200 twilly.
So when she said let’s wait til next week my first thought was “um won’t it be sold?” But of course I didn’t feel comfortable questioning her. But it sounds like it’s very common for the SAs to hold pieces while gathering other requests from us. I actually MUCH prefer this way VS what I’ve become accustomed to with Chanel .

Thank you lovely ladies once again for your advice and thoughts on my question !

At H, it’s a total paradigm shift and requires a lot of patience. They order for you and you may have to wait for months to get your order. They may even stop you from buying too many things (reseller suspicion). They may even ask you to directly shop online if it is the easier way for you to get what you want.

Lol….

Hello, sorry if this had been asked before--Anyone had any luck having a store from different state send any item to you? I live in seattle and seattle store does not have the item I want. Las Vegas store has it in stock but said they are not allowed to send?

If anyone has any luck, please kindly let me know what store still allows this so I can try that store.

Thanks so much!!

What’s the item?
But regardless, you should ask your SA in Seattle to procure the item for you from vegas, or whichever store they can get it from.

Your sa should be able to get the item from a different store. Working with an SA out of a boutique, I’ve been able to get scarves from Boston, San Fran, and Short Hills…

Not sure if this is the correct thread to ask this question. Last week I asked my SA about ordering a shawl , she did a search and said that none are showing as available to order.

Today I saw the shawl become available on h.com. My question is should I ask her to do a search again, would she be able to order it for me now that it’s online ?
I know she can’t place an online order for me unless I’m in the boutique, but I wasn’t sure if she could possibly order it again since there now seems to be some in the system? I looked h.com thread too but couldn’t find if this was covered before.
Thanks so much!

I would just ask ur SA if she’s prefer to order or u just get it on h.com

My SA doesn’t mind her client shopping online but i always give her a chance to serve me by asking before doing .com purchase.

I'd love to hear people's opinion:

I started my H journey July 2020. I'm not a big spender but I buy pretty consistently things that I love, anywhere from $500-$1800 a month across mostly silks and home but I've also purchased accessories, belts and fashion jewelry and 1 non quotabag. My SA is nice in store but not responsive when I inquire about items I find on the website I am interested in. I've had items sell out online before she replies to me. During my last visit, SA mentioned how busy she and didn't want the item I was ordering to be shipped to the store even if I mentioned that I prefer shipping to store because FedEx has been inconvenient and unreliable during the last 3 deliveries.

Anyway, a few days after my last visit, an item I'm interested in that sold out before my SA could get it was restocked online. Remembering our last conversation about how busy she is, I purchased the item online and chose to pick up in store.

I'm thinking of just scheduling an appointment to pick up my item with any SA since they won't get commission anyway for online orders.

My question is, would my SA view this as not being loyal to her and take offense? I've already spent 18k with my SA (even though I haven't been offered a quota bag yet 14 months after I started shopping with her and 7 months after talking about my wishlist) so I don't want to risk anything.
