I know she is not a reseller, just a customer who loves H bags.

I am not sure if she would go back after being asked to go. I did ask if she was ok, after being treated badly. Glad to know that she is fine, just feeling puzzled over all that happened

Oh, I’m no doubter of crappy Hermes experiences. I just think to ask someone to go to a different location must have a larger back story to it.
Definitely. Hope to know more details to crappy services and if brought to the attention of the store manager and how it was resolved.

Recently, I saw some posts on social media sharing how poor the quality of Hermes has become and how bad the services are. It turns out the accounts belongs to fake bag sellers. So, naturally I ask more questions to myself whenever I see any sharing of bad experiences.

I think your SA maybe looking for a b25 for you.

I would stick to an SA who gets me good stuff.
Agreed! He obviously values u as a customer since he offered a b30 craie and a Pegasus… both are very hot items!

I guess do u value a SA that is good at pleasantry and/or push you to buy things? Or a SA listens to you and get you the good stuff? Maybe he is also just not good at small talk either… not all SA are extrovert

I think the incident that he threw all the colors he could find on the counter, maybe he just didn’t have what u wanted and wanted to see if u liked others? My SA does that me to when she doesn’t have the exact and she opens the drawers to let me look thru… esp comes to silk.

Thank you for your replies! The main thing I'm not ok with is that he 'ghost' me, I tried to contact him since June and text him once or twice a month, updating my wishlist and wanting to order some items from him. He's not replying to any of these. I ended up having to purchase some of the items I wanted online when it became available. In fact I called the store early this week asking if I can make an appointment with him, the store told me he'll be at work the next day and will pass my message to him. Yet I still haven't heard from him.

I am starting my H journey and want to start establishing a relationship with an SA. While in Hawaii on vacation, I purchased a pair of sandals and a picotin. The SA who helped me was great, and she set up an account for me and provided me her business card and told me if I needed anything, I can reach out. She hasn't followed up yet and its been a handful of days already. Is that normal for H? I know with other brands, they reach out immediately after a purchase. Should I reach out just to say thank you and ask her for recommendations for twillys to match my bag? I do plan on purchasing, so I'm not asking, "just to ask." Or should I just leave it alone since she knows I was only visiting because I was on vacation and go to a local H store for the twilly?

I'm not planning on buying a B/K anytime soon, but still want the opportunity to in the future. I'm not sure when I'll be back to Hawaii, but I know I will be back by next year.

Hermes SAs basically never reach out to new customers, unless there was some specific call to action (like if she had ordered something for you and was updating you on the status). She’d likely respond to an email from you but they don’t have time to send “thinking of you” messages to new clients. There’s no need to contact her unless you’ve got business to do. I’d recommend not contacting for “just” a twilly but if you intend to form a long term relationship with that store, be prepared to travel there for any bags purchases (and often times SLGs are also prohibited from shipping). If you have a store local to you, you may find shopping locally easier in the long run.

this is helpful thank you! If I go to a local store to also establish a relationship and do more purchases, would the recommendation be to use my spouses information instead of mine since I’m already in the database? Or does it not matter?

My advice would be to pick a store and then stick with it going forward. It’s somewhat normal to start your H shopping at a store while on vacation and then realize that you like the brand and want to start a long term relationship locally so I don’t think the local store would have any issue with that, but they probably wouldn’t like it if you shopped the vacation store again later. Some stores are stricter than others but it’s not uncommon for a store to require the named profile owner to be present and physically purchasing all goods sold under that account. Some also force all communication through the profile owner so I’d think carefully before making a local account under someone else‘s name, unless you want them to always be the go between person long term.

Is there a reason you think they wouldn’t like you shopping the vacation store? My home SA was the one who told me that I should visit the stores in Hawaii, as they have great stock.

Majorities of the SAs don’t mind the established clients occasionally shop at vacation stores especially they (SAs) know they have no specific stocks or have trouble doing transfer etc.. However if a client is just starting out (aiming for quota bags as end result ) it’s best not to shop around building multiple accounts (this does not include small purchase like a twilly). Of course everything is depended on the clients spending power which I have seen a few that shop around the world.

I guess I'm a bit more extreme than you because I even leave Twilly's for my home stores.

For new clients who are jonesing for a B/K/C, every single purchase (big or small) at your chosen home store counts. It's really a simple formula. Meet a SA you enjoy, buy things you want from said SA, ask for a bag(s), show some more loyalty to the SA/store, and voila, a bag should show up at some point. It may not be on your timeline, but it will show up.

I go in with the mentality that every purchase counts at Hermes...even though I've been shopping with one of my SA's for nearly 15 years. Yes, some categories count "more" than others (RTW, fine jewelry, home furnishings), but I've never let that guide me while shopping. When people say slg or leather bags don't count, in my experience, that's simply not true. I've had years where I've exclusively bought leather goods and still ended up with quota bag.

Personally, I'm never tempted to buy H things while traveling. If I see something, I always text my SA's asking if it's something my home stores have, and if not, can they worldwide search/order for me. While this shopping style may not be for everyone (I'm never in a rush for anything), loyalty, especially in luxury retail, pays off in spades.

There's a reason my SA's text me back within an hour (record is 5 minutes), and it's not because I'm a big fish client. It's because I'm loyal to a fault, and always good for a sale if I'm asking.

U are really blessed with an SA who gets you whatever u set your eyes on.

Some of our SAs don’t even bother to help with WWS. Mine told me to just buy off the online store. Lol….

I decided to reach out to the SA I met on vacation and will try to establish a relationship remotely. My thinking is if I have a request, I’ll text her, and it’s up to her if she wants the business or not. No hard feelings either way. I’m never in a “I need this now” mentality so I don’t mind waiting.

I am so sick of my local franchise store and their shi77y attitude. The SA I use to have was a literal fairy. We've spent a good bit with her in 2019. Since the pandemic hit in 2020, I've only purchased 2 items: a garden party and a pair of shoes mainly because she left the company and buying items with whoever was left felt like pulling teeth.

The salesperson that are left just just so cold- even with the most simplest of questions: "Who should I work with next time?" I've tried, but I am just too old for this sh!t. LOL.

Any ladies have any tips for working with an out of state store? I am just DONE with this place and sad because it's only a 15 minute drive from my house.

My Hermes journey has been a bit rockey....Godsh I didn't know it would be this stressful LOL. Ladies, I need some opinion on what to do next....

I have purchased few Hermes items here and there internationally in the past with no intention of a bk or kelly. Until recently the thought of getting a bk has been growing on me, so I went to a boutique closest to me started working with a random SA I was assigned over the phone, got a Lindy, a belt, few pairs of shoes and few small jewelries, spent about $14k. I asked about the BK, and she did put me on the wishlist for a bk 35 (with that said a 30 would needs more spending and will take longer time) then the wait went on for over 5 months, and still nothing! I txt her once a month to follow up and NOTHING shows up. *That store has a reputation of being 'difficult'.

2 weeks ago I finally decided to move on to another location, got another random SA upon walk-in, purchased a pair of shoes and a tee shirt. He seemed 'politely' nice. I asked for the picotin, the answer is obviously an NO, but he was nice to put me on a waitlist (god knows how long? lol). There was also a belt I wanted but the store didnt have the buckle in stock at the time, so he said she will put the belt on hold and when the buckle shipments comes in the next day supposedly, he will call me to take the order over the phone. However, there was no calls nor emails since.
I also emailed him few of the sweaters I like, including a piece I remembering see on the display. He did reply 'will keep an eye on them' but with no mentioning of the piece being in stock.

Unfortunately the tee was too small when I tried on at home so I emailed him asking if I can make an appointment for an exchange, while there is a few other pieces I like to check out. He replied and we were able to set up an appointment. Now, the 'disturbing' part comes at the time of appointment. I went in 10 mins before the agreed time, one of the staff told me to wait until my SA is done with the client, while he will acknowledge the SA that I was there. I waited for 20 mins, then I saw my SA with his clients browsing at where I was waiting. His clients left soon after, so I thought he will come to get be, BUT instead I saw my SA went to the front of the store to greet another walk-in client and went upstairs. I didnt know what to think, but I went to one of the staff standing doing paperwork (not sure if hes a manager or what) and asked him where my SA is because I have an appointment with XXX at that time...He was like ' ohh my he just went in with a walk-in party...' ...well duh..'I know because I saw him' ..(At that time my tone changed a bit from sincere to 'pissed'..)
So he did went to find my SA and replaced him. My SA then came to me with a typical 'apologetic' look. He actually remembered I was there to exchange the Tee the moment he came down without me saying a word....because he said sth like 'Ohh Hiiii, the tee girl...' And I am pretty sure he saw me sitting in the waiting area..

But I did manage to him the sincere polite way, and I asked him if any of my sweater is available, and he mumbled sth like ' I didnt get a chance to...blah blah' So apparently the style I saw last time in store was the only style ( cardigan) available, it is not a love-piece but I could have gotten it for the sake of it, BUT with the wait, I didnt feel like it.

But I did ended up getting a stole and a Ciic clac, (definitely not their high commission items lol)
I casually asked him about the picotin, but he was like ' we havent receive any shipment yet, you just gotta wait...(in an annoyed tone )
Oooo ok...

Right before leaving, I asked to try on the H heure watch, I played around with it then left.....

Now, I am not sure if I should stick around with this SA...for quota bag, althought I did spent ~$3000 with him.
Are there 30 ppl on the wish list just for picotin ? Really? ( Well to be honest I am not a big fan of the picotin anyway lol. )
Just for the sake of building up a 'Record with wide range of variety'.

So I really need some advise now....LOL Is this SA just bullying with me?
I know they like big spender clients, and one who buys coats and fine jewelries, but with some of the recent Hermes horror stories around me, I will not buy a 18k gold kelly bracelets or the Constance necklace with the SA for the first time, not until he/she offers me one of the quota bags. I believe trust is established both ways. ...

Dont get me wrong, I like other Hermes pieces besides their signature quota bags and I will continue shopping with Hermes. But I just dont want to waste anymore time and money with the 'wrong' SA that plays games.

So ladies, please kindly share your advise ^_^

Besides not getting the B35 you wanted, have you been happy with the first SA and recieved good customer service? I also think it is advicable not to repeatedly bring up the bag request.

I really don´t think you should buy anything you don´t love and will cherish just to build up some purchase record. The picotin is very popular and there are actually customers who would love to own one. You saying you want to get one just to build up purchase history not so nice considering you take one opportunity away from someone who might truely love one.
