Thanks so much! So is it rude to ask your SA directly to ask their SM to request an item from your wishlist at Podium OR do I wait for my SA to mention it? Also, what two months of the year are the best times to go through wishlists with SA...just in time for Podium? Makes chances higher I would think, right? Thanks in advance for helping me with my novice questions!!
Yes, mentioning Podium directly would be odd, especially if you're not a looooong standing client. You should just mention your wishlist to your SA casually whenever. Unless you're looking for a rare and very specific bag, and are a VIPish customer, the SM isn't going to bother specifically POing a bag for you.

Great! Thank youuu! Going in to see my SA in a few weeks and will def go through my updated wishlist!

In addition- remember its about consistency and appreciation for the brand. Shop regularly and buy things that you enjoy. Learn more about the history of the brand through the store and TPF and you will indeed slide down the slippery, orange slope.

Oh yes. I have definitely started sliding down and enjoying the ride! [emoji23] thanks fellow tpf sistahs!

While the sourcing boutique will get the credit for the sale, on the receipt, it is still credited to your SA (with their SA #) for making that sale, which would count towards their personal goals. Technically, that would touch the topic of building the relationship with the store vs the SA. In the ideal case, to appease both the store and the SA, it is good to have the item transferred first and then buy it. But not all of the sourcing boutiques would agree to that.

In fact, a H boutique refused to charge send two popular items (which they have plenty of) recently because they want their own SA's to get the credit of selling them.

When I first started working with my SA, she made sure that the items got transferred in before I buy them so that I have more history with the store, not just with the SA. That makes bag offers easier as the SM needs to approve.

At the end of the day, it is up to you to decide.

This is exactly right. There are 2 considerations of sales credit- to the store and to the SA. Transfers are great, for this reason.

Transfers can sometimes get tricky if the store that has the item thinks they can sell the item in their own store. They just become a hassle for your store to try and procure.

Therefore, and also to meowlett’s point, some stores will also not do a transfer if they have the item coming. This way both the SA and the store get the credit for the sale. I think as long as you provide your list and have some patience, this is ok, as you want to not only support your SA but also the store. This also saves the hassle of asking another store for what may be a coveted item. My store assured me that things in my list are coming.

I remind my SA and SM all the time. Sometimes it’s very subtle, but I always make sure that my store has my updates list. I also make sure to send complete lists, especially before Podium.

2x per year with the next Podium upon us, ordering for Printemps/ Ete 2019.
I wanted to get clarification in regards to the shipping charge for charge-send. Based on my own discussion with a few friends that shop through their SAs that are out of state, the charge send has always been FREE and it is also always a 2-day shipping when it comes to charge send. Is this a standard rule that charge send shipping fee is waived when you do it through your own SA?

I am asking because I was told to get free charge send shipping, I have to be present at the store when the SA is doing the charge send. If I am not present, shipping is always charged per Hermes policy nationwide. When I mentioned about my friends experience, she said that is against their policy.

Can anyone that has charge send experience with their SAs verify if the shipping is always waived or not please? Thank you in advance.

When my SA does charge send over phone, it’s always $25. In store charge send has been free.

Let me check my receipts from the different scenarios and get back to you on that.

Thank you for sharing your experience. Just to clarify, this is for charge-send for items that are not available in your store that have to be shipped from another boutique and not a phone order/store transfer for items that are available/transferred in your store.

Thank you in advance. Am really curious to hear more from everyone's experience about charge send shipping and whether it's true you have to be present to get the charge send shipping waived.
I know that the shipping is free if I was at the store when the charge send happened.

I also know that I get charged $25 for phone orders (which are not charge sends) for items at my home store. And if I charge send additional items from multiple non home stores in the same conversation, the charge send shipping is waived from all of the other stores.

Now I need to look at two receipts when the charge send were solo charge sends from other stores.

On a different note, in regards to the $25 2-day shipping via phone order. Based on my experiences, if you do not mention the shipping type you want, the SAs will automatically assume you want 2-day and charge you the $25 shipping. You must mention every single time you place the phone order that you want the FREE ground shipping otherwise they assume you want the $25.

I do not know why the SAs i have dealt with do this without offering options to clients and just almost always charge the $25 shipping when the free ground shipping is indeed an option especially things like small leather goods and silks.

I know better now to always ask the stores that I have not shopped with if they offer the free ground shipping before purchasing. Most of the time they have this option. You just have to mention you want this every single time you place the phone order. I have come across bad SAs too that will tell you they do not offer the ground shipping only to find out they do when I call the same store to ask another SA. LOL.

Hi everyone. Sorry if this has been discussed before. I just started working with a sales associate earlier this year in March so it's only really been three months but almost every time that I've visited, I would buy something from her. She took down my wishlist the first day we met and about a month ago I revised my wishlist with her and she was happy to do so. She also kept me in mind when they had new shipment for shoes and I did visit and bought a pair of mules from her. I had a couple of pieces in mind in specific colors and most recently I saw it on h.com. In your experience, do you just buy what you see on the website if it is what you want? Or do you first go back to your sales associate and ask how likely it would be for them to get it in the store? Thanks in advance!
