Hi everyone. Sorry if this has been discussed before. I just started working with a sales associate earlier this year in March so it's only really been three months but almost every time that I've visited, I would buy something from her. She took down my wishlist the first day we met and about a month ago I revised my wishlist with her and she was happy to do so. She also kept me in mind when they had new shipment for shoes and I did visit and bought a pair of mules from her. I had a couple of pieces in mind in specific colors and most recently I saw it on h.com. In your experience, do you just buy what you see on the website if it is what you want? Or do you first go back to your sales associate and ask how likely it would be for them to get it in the store? Thanks in advance!

I generally ask if it is something my SA can get. If it is, he orders it into the store for me to try. If he can’t, he generally tells me just to order online. We operate pretty straight forward.

Buy through your SA and not via the website. I use the website as a catalogue and then ask my SA for the items I desire. My SA verbatimly told me once to never shop online without first giving them an opportunity to source the item for me.

If you’re aiming to get a Birkin or a Kelly at some point you’re better off channeling all your purchases through your SA.

On a different note, in regards to the $25 2-day shipping via phone order. Based on my experiences, if you do not mention the shipping type you want, the SAs will automatically assume you want 2-day and charge you the $25 shipping. You must mention every single time you place the phone order that you want the FREE ground shipping otherwise they assume you want the $25.

I do not know why the SAs i have dealt with do this without offering options to clients and just almost always charge the $25 shipping when the free ground shipping is indeed an option especially things like small leather goods and silks.

I know better now to always ask the stores that I have not shopped with if they offer the free ground shipping before purchasing. Most of the time they have this option. You just have to mention you want this every single time you place the phone order. I have come across bad SAs too that will tell you they do not offer the ground shipping only to find out they do when I call the same store to ask another SA. LOL.
I found the charge send receipt for my second Tressage strap. It is 2 Day FedEx and it was free. And same thing with my CW12 of Samourais CSGM from another store. It could be because I just visited the H store a few days prior.

I’ve never once gotten a call from my SA [emoji85] Strangely I only ever got offered the times I came by and asked her if they had anything downstairs.
I don't think you are alone on that one. My quota bag offers were all part of another conversation which turned into a conversation about if I would consider buying a certain bag.
As for the C offers, they all came out of nowhere and I certainly was not expecting anything.

Since SA are humans, I don't think they will remember the wish list of all of their clients at all time. I guess it is beneficial to have a valid reason to chat with your SA regularly.

Anyone ever wait for a special call and then get restless and just want to give up? I always wonder how our SAs remember each of our requests when they have so many clients.

I will email my SA my requests even if I mentioned them in store so she will have something to refer back to. This is for items that aren’t b/k/c though. I’ve only been called once about a bag on my list probably because I drilled the request into my SAs head after numerous visits and purchases. Other bags I’ve gotten when I’ve visited the store and asked if they had items on my wishlist. It helps to visit the store often if u can.

Yah kinda sucks because my SA is not near me. I fly in for my bags but there is the new Palo Alto store near me. I don’t have a SA there and don’t want to rebuild a relationship you know. I just don’t know when to check in with out being annoying and I only buy what I like which isn’t that much stuff at a time. Sigh [emoji17] Do you ladies think it be weird to send a check up email with out having to buy something? Last time I checked nothing coming in fit what I requested so far.

If you are indeed wishing for a K25 Croc, I will suggest buying something every month with the SA as there are a lot of people wishing for that same bag. Phone orders are fine. You can talk to him/her when you place that order. And follow up with an email with the recap of the conversation. But please note that the SA cannot promise anything and might not respond to the wishlist email directly. They will note down the wishlist and also wait for the stars to line up, just like us.

If I remember correctly u shop at one of the Vegas boutiques? My friend shops at crystals and he checks up with his SA via email from time to time regarding bags plus other items on his wishlist. Hard to just drop by the store as it’s not local for him. I think it wouldn’t hurt to reach out to your sales associate if it’s been a while since your last contact. Also, if there is any other non bag item on your wishlist (even if just a small item) maybe inquire about that in the same email?

Sorry if this is a little off track, but it is relevant to contacting your SA ahead of a visit. Also, the better informed you are, the better the likelihood of a good outcome. It shows you care about what you are buying and the brand.

A lot of us do not live within easy drop-in distance of a Hermes boutique and the website is a good source of what might be available, so that we can contact a store ahead of a visit and let it be known what we want to buy, in the hope that the item might be sourced for us in advance.

Your local country website does not show the full range of current items and colourways available in the boutiques. So it is worth looking on the Asian, European and US websites to get a wider choice and making a note of the product reference. Once you start to compare these you can identify what is the basic item code, the size, the finish option.
I have found items in London in colour ways I've only seen on the US site.
What is immediately available in the boutiques is dependent upon what the SMs and department AMs have selected to stock.
I have found that they are willing to contact other boutiques (even in other [for me, European] countries to have items transferred.

So I made a recent purchase say early this month on a non quota bag and some other items when I went. But unfortunately, one item was not in stock and won’t be till say August or sept and they werent any quota bags close to what I wanted at that time. I figure maybe wait till then to email and check on the other item. Tricky I guess, but have any of you emailed about say a quota bag you requested only?

I have emailed about the B alone a few times. It is perfectly fine to do so. Please don't try to walk on egg shell over the relationship. You should email them with a follow-up email to thank them on the last visit, inquire about your quota bag wishlist and the item not in stock. Since it is at the very end of the first semester, do it and be prepared to fly there to get a bag. Good luck!
