Is it not mandatory to purchase items prior to having them transferred? I was assigned to a new SA this year and if an item needs to be transferred in he has required me to purchase them prior to transferring it. This is for everything from twillies to fine jewelry.

I’ve transferred many different items, from shoes to jewelry. Never once have I been asked to pay in advance. Only time I had to pay was when I got the shoes transferred but directly shipped to my place - which is an obvious reason.

While I can't speak for every store, I think payment for transfers comes down to the category of item. If the item is something typically transferable (shoes, fine jewelry, watches), payment is not expected. But if it's a bag or a wallet, payment is usually requested because they are making a policy exception and need special approval to obtain the item. I think it's fair to always give your SA the opportunity to locate the item, but if he/she is unable to bring it in or ignores your request, you should not feel bad about buying it elsewhere.

I have never been asked to pay in advance except for a CDC and that was because it was the last one in my size.

The two items I wanted most are not available on the European H site so unfortunately I can't order online or pretend to order online (too bad)...I wonder if the item is available online if we can ask our SA to order on our behalf so they still get the credit for the sale in Europe?

According to my SA online stock is a different system from the in store one so if you see something online, it doesn't mean that your store can definitely order it for you. I recently learned that it's also why they do not like to receive returns from online purchase. I do remind my SA every couple of weeks when I ask him to transfer items from other stores. But I also learned that it's totally possible that it can take unreasonably long time to transfer products sometimes due to how the system is set up. If you're quite opened with your SA and that he / she knows that you do make most of your purchase with him / her, I don't think you should worry about getting items you really want else where when your store doesn't have them. My SA even told me to get XYZ whenever where ever I see them because they just don't receive them that often and he feels embarrassed that their customers have to wait that long. At the end of the day, if the customers can't get the goods solely due to the stress of feeling obligated to stay loyal, they will only be left with bitter feeling and eventually leave, which does not benefit the SAs either on the long run.

Does anyone get offered bags that they might not be looking for? Like if you ask for a B they ask if you want a K or a C?
Yes, they always offer bags I’m not looking for but think I might like. It’s a way to appease you or make you feel special to be offered a quota bag, they sometimes do this if the bag you are looking for isn’t on order or others have priority.

I wanted a Evelyn with gold hardware and a b30 with a good option of colors. But I feel like I am waiting forever [emoji24].

Re: Evelyne with gold hardware; I also asked my SA about this and she told me it is a seasonal release. Last year apparently it was in Nior and the previous release was Raisin.

Ladies what’s the etiquette to request a bag? I’m a new H lover and have picked my home store and worked consistently with one SA. I’ve bought enough merchandise in the past month (scarves, shoes and jewelry) to equal the amount of the bag that I want- Kelly. My SA still has not asked me about my wishlist yet, should I bring it up? Or is that considered to be a big no? She’s usually a very good SA and has impeccable taste and so far has recommended only items that she thinks I would like. Just not sure why the radio silence on this. If it helps, I’m based in Asia/Singapore.

Don't expect your SA to be psychic; she's a shop assistant not a mind reader.

If the truth were known she's probably pleased that the issues of Ks or Bs has not come up because you are a good source of commission without having to spin some line about difficult to get bags.
