I’m curious dear Tpf’ers. At Hermes store, who is the head of the operations there? I am confused with the titles - Sales Associate, Supervising sales Associate , Closing Manager, Store Manager, Store Director. Where does the buck stop? I.e who is the ultimate decision maker at a given Hermes store? Thanks in advance...
my SA told me that it is the store manager that approves who gets a K or B.

That's odd, I would think maybe sa1 has too many clients/sales compared to sa2. If you prefer an sa, just let them know and they will have to let you work if your preference. I've talked to my store about these issues and if you tell them you no longer want to work with a certain person, they will honor that.

So i have an update.... SA1 was let go last Thursday suddenly, along with one other SA  I had maintained a relationship with SA1 for the past 1.5 years, I was in complete shock when SA2 informed me the next day after it happened, saying the store team was also in shock. Perhaps it was a precursor that the management told SA1 my SO may fall under SA2..................

I'm shocked and sad for SA1, but I guess I am also relieved that I can continue my status / relationship with SA2 and don't have to start a new SA relationship :hrmm:

:amazed: Wow. Well, I guess that explains what's been going on. Sad to hear, but at least it's sorted for you. :flowers:

my senior SA whom I've worked with for 3 years (and with whom I have a very substantial purchase history with, including a pending SO) has just informed me that he will be leaving Hermes too; it's very sudden and makes me wonder if there's a retrenchment cycle on-going at Hermes at the moment.

I'm still in shock from the news :(

A couple of the SAs at my local store have told me that there job is very stressful at times because both regulars and walk-ins are demanding special bags (b&k) every day. There is a limited supply and they cannot meet the demands of these customers and as a result, they are sometimes mistreated when they cannot fulfil the request. One SA said that some clients were also passive aggressive towards him. So, he has also thought of leaving too over the years. In fact, he has even been approached by other designer brands many times.

Could you please share which store this is happening? Thanks.

Interesting. Working for a brand that commands such a premium will definitely attract clients with a ridiculously skewed expectation of customer service and being outright ruthless and condescending to SAs.

The final decision maker at my store has the title of Managing Director.

So complicated... hard to keep up with the changes.

It's awful to hear what's going on at some stores. I'm making a trip in May to my "home" store. Hopeful for one final B to tide me over for awhile. This particular color has always been a favorite, but if it doesn't happen, life will go on. I have 3 beautiful Bs, which I have been blessed to acquire over the past 2.5 years. You must always look at the bright side of things!

So true , sometimes it happens when it happens, and if it does not, life goes on!
