I think perfect handmade quilt alignment has been Chanel major symbol for many years. It's an art. It shows high quality craftmanship. Any shifting from that is a shifting off original Chanel.

The fake ones are getting to that perfection but not there yet.
mine is very off in alignment and getting worse. if i take it back will they exhange for a new one? :confused1:

I'm sure they will esp when a bG SHOWS IMPERFECTIONS! With some SAs though you have to be really persistent !Good luck and keep us posted!

i will, it will have to be next wed afternoon as i am on holiday. noticed it when i got it back out of it's dust bag and was really angry. for such an expensive ba it should be better quality! :cursing:

If you don't like the bag, return it. You just need to follow their return policy. If they have another one, they will exchange for you. But it's best to go to the store and examine the bag yourself. Good luck.

I notice that a lot of Chanel Bags these days are made in Italy. The jumbo classic flap in caviar I've bought today in Hong Kong is Made in Italy. So is my Bubble Quilt Flap Bag from Norstrom Seattlem, it's also Made in Italy. I think the craftsman ship is fine. After all, a superbrand like Chanel must have very stringent quality control.

have you checked the sides on your jumbo caviar? mine looks like the picture a few pages back in this thread but has become worse. i hope yours is ok.

ok got some pics of my jumbo, made in France. as you can see the 1st pic alignment is not that perfect. the 2nd pic looks good with the stitching all lined up preperly.

the 3rd pic, not that perfect again. maybe someone can examinate these pics and give me some feedbacks on whether this is ok or bad :confused1::confused1:. thanks

yours looks good, at least it doesn't puff out like mine does!

All of my square shaped totes are made in Italy, GST included. I have the older style GST which I agree with Katie about looking nicer than the current design.

Both my bowlers - Cambon and Luxury - are made in France.

I have been comparing the stitching on my Chanel wallets made in France and Italy to the stitching on my Coach wallet made in China and honestly, the Coach wallet has better stitching than the Chanel made in Italy wallets! It is right on par with the Chanel made in France wallet.
