i got 2 thank you cards from the bermuda store. i thought they were standard. the first time they didn't give me a dustbag so i called and they mailed it to me with a really nice note. the second time i bought something from them over the phone and had someone get it to me and there was a lovely note with that too. maybe it's just that store?

I refuse to kiss anyone's a*s. When I first joined here I was so surprised to see how some people on here hold LV sales associates on a pedastool. I don't see them any different than any other sales person in the mall. I prefer to get a different SA everytime. I just want to get what I came to get and leave. Sure, free things are nice but they should be given because the giver wants to give not because I kiss her a*s. Maybe I feel like this because my husband owns a business where this happens a lot. People want tshirts, free tickets, free drinks and they think by telling me things they think I want to hear they will get it easier. I can see right through it and it makes me uncomfortable when they start compliment after compliment. I'd give it to them if they would just ask for it in a normal way. Those that qualify already get it anyway so they don't have to ask.

Personally, I prefer to have one SA just so they can keep an eye on new things coming out for me and pick out which ones I might like (based on previous purchases) and notify me of their release...It's also good to have an SA you know a little better than the other SAs to talk to.
It doesn't necessarily mean you have to kiss their a$$. :shrugs:

I love my SA and not for the perks.She is a really nice girl and more like a friend. We giggle and gush over items and msgboard gossip whenever I go in there. I've gotten birthday cards,thank you notes,catalogs, anniversary cards,christmas cards and phone calls. When I was getting married she came with me to Saks for one of my fittings. My boutique is very small so there aren't very many VIP events or anything like that. I am going to ask her about some gifts though,lol.

Becoming a VIP is actually a VIC... customer.... not based on a dollar amount but on loyalty. Loyalty to the store, their events, bringing new customers with you..... most of all be good to your SA, they get to deal with all the people who ask you if your bag is fake!! :yes:

You know, the last time I ordered from elux on the receipt they sent me it said at the top VIP Customer. Maybe it is just how many items you buy not how much??

With elux, I think you have to purchase a certain number of items from there. When I get emails from them, it says I'll remain an elux VIP customer as long as I make one purchase from them per year.:yes:

also there's a sign if they send you a thankyou letter to your house, congratulating you on your purchase, that just means you picked the right SA to shop from...

I am intrigued!:rolleyes: Ho wdo people become VIC's??? Do you have to spend a certain amount to qualify? I know rebecca is one, and OMG i havent seen all of her collection but I can imagine she has everything! :love: Or is it depending on how loyal you have been to LV ove rthe years??;)

I'm not sure how it works but it took me several years to become a VIP and I always go to the same store and use the same two SA's and of course I always but loads, I have already preordered 8 bags for the upcoming season. I think it helps if you pop into the store often. My SA sent be an email with pics of upcoming bags months ago and always calls me when she thinks an item is going to be very limited. I think though that you should keep using the same SA over and over and let them know how loyal to Louis you are, it helps. I will try to scan and post of some of the new limited bags that I haven't seen posted yet.
