uhmm... what does it mean 'the VIC'?

I don't do much purchasing LV bag at the store only occasionally, however there is one particular cute guy SA so nice to me.

Somehow he give me the priviledge VIP service which I'm uncomfortable that!! He is so different to other SA whom not nicely to me :(

I bought one nice bag from that same SA and I feel like in return to his service by give him a X'mas present alas he was day off that day. I haven't visit that store again to make sure that he did receive that persent otherwise other SA must be already taken that gift!! I will be shocked! :P

I don't think there is an "amount limit" to become a LV vip, but always shop with the same SA will really help. If that SA is powerful enough, he/she might put you on the vip list even you only shop for $10000-15000 each year. (I read about this on another forum)

so you mean any SA? say senior or junior SA except the manager able to put you to list in the system?:confused1:

because everyday I saw SA same person always being service on same boutique everyday (must be senior SA) for those new SA (must be junior SA) I think they are under training or roster different place?? next a few months that I never saw that new person work there again! :shrugs:

wow!! interesting this thread!! that I never know!!

I just I guessing all the way, only the celeberities and rich people are VIP/VIC!! not suitable for commoner, however until I read the comment from Poufiasse make sense though!

hmmm.. when I read this it sound like 'bribe' by having relationship with SA to get title of VIC/VIP :sweatdrop:

I know that when SA nice to you and give you the privilidge somehow the invisible connection, in you doing to return nice to that SA as well

so just naturally way the doing 'customer service' things! :wlae:

It seems to me that SA's can pick certain people that are their VIP's but not neccisarily LV VIP's. I think if you shop with the same SA all the time and you are nice to them you'll get a certain amount of special treatment. I have no idea what it takes to become an VIP of LV, you probably have to spend a fortune.
I agree. Some of the perks mentioned here I think are just perks that SA's give their regular customers. I mean I get offered beverages when i shop in some LV stores. Even ones where I have never been before.

i but i would never assume nor expect i am a Louis Vuitton VIC just because.

I agree wholeheartedly. As I said in another post about VIP's, some of the perks being mentioned just sound like perks they have for regular customers. There is a difference between that and being VIP. I don't think the bookmarks and playing cards should be used to determine if the receiver is definitely a VIC/VIP. As one person said, they got a VIP gift because LV made a mistake. Sort of like an apology gift. And just because a SA shows you different color schemes for bags doesn't mean anything either. That's just good ole' customer service.

^Exactly!

I know for a fact that ones looks, age or attire have nothing to do with becoming a true VIC as some would have you believe.

I was introduced to a true VIC today while doing a bit of shopping. The woman was in her late 40's,about 280lbs,nicely dressed but definitely no knockout in the looks department so we can toss that theory is out the window. What she does have going for her is that she spends megabucks every year in Louis Vuitton not only here but worldwide as she travels a great deal.
The LV manager and myself are personal friends and she told me this woman is invited to all worldwide events, store openings etc.She also buys damn near every exclusive bag LV creates, today she was picking up her gorgeous Mink Bum Messenger. All I can say is that woman has excellent taste and a boatload of money :graucho: .

i went into lv tonight. wearing big jeans, converse and generally looking like nothing special. i've chatted with 2 of the SAs there before a lot. I went in and chatted with them again for an hour. we talked about all the new stuff coming out- i knew more about them than they did! the SA i spoke with the most asked me if i would shop there exclusively. she told me she could get me whatever i wanted. we talked about my collection and how i have say a twilly to match my bag. she said i am just the type of customer that lv wants. i was shocked to get a small gift from her. i didn't even buy anything, nor have i ever bought anything at that store yet. but she knows me from coming in. i was honest with her about everything- my needing to save for bags etc. it is all about your relationships and how you treat people- not necessarily how much you spend or how you look.

My DH bought me 1/2 of my bags and is kind of irritated that he hasn't received a thank you card yet. I've received them for the bags that I bought. I haven't been able to establish any relationship with an SA. Very hard to do in Hawaii where our LVs on Oahu are not small boutiques and where they target the Japanese tourist clientele. If you are a local and enter the boutique you usually have to wait to be served until the tourists have been helped. I think that is why a lot of locals don't like to shop at the high end stores here. Oh well...
