they told me a catalogue was 11 euros. :cursing:

I honestly think it just matters what boutique. I get free stuff all the time, my best friend gets VIP gifts, etc and she definitely doesn't spend $60K on LV. It really depends on the SA and the boutique I say.

I agree, I think you can be LV retailer if you spend $60K in 6 months. Man, just think of how many bags you get with $60K :).

I recall that someone said Elux and LV has different database for customer. However, from my previous experience in exchanging a bag (with the same value), it works out pretty well. The guy even asked for my invoice from Elux (I believe he looked into customer order # or stuff like that). The point is, are you sure it's under different customer database?

i just read every single post in this thread -- it was so interesting!! I must say, I am planning to get my first LV soon, and I really hope I find an SA as accomodating and friendly as the ones people here have mentioned!

I'm really young and whenever i go into my LV store the SA's always look soo busy and i basically have to stand there for 10 minutes just for them to look at me. When i go in tho i usually know EXACTLY what i want and just say it they give me the display i walk around with it and then buy it like 5 minutes. i've never recieved any kind of treatment at all. i don't get it? maybe its cause im 20? But that really stinks. i want a nice SA to talk to me and take me out to lunch and stuff.

Altho.. my moms really good friend is SUPER VIP. I went to the store once with her and there were about 4 SA's surrounding her with shoe boxes bags and champagne and everything its amazingg.. But she also spent like $30k (no joke) She also gets phone calls and NEVER has to be on a wait list.
SECRET: i wanted an azur speedy 30 for my birthday this year and i was waitlisted they said i wouldn't get one till august and they had none in stock so my mom told her and 1 day later it was on my kitchen table. = ] :wlae:

As to my understanding, Elux are authorized resellers of LV but not a part of LV. So you my be a VIP at elux as you buy lots of products from them but not necessarily from LV as its customer records are different from elux.

Actually, eluxury is owned by LVMH - see below statement from eluxury:

"Unlike some web sites that offer a limited selection of luxury items and that have no ties to the brands they carry, eLUXURY is owned by LVMH (Moët Hennessey - Louis Vuitton), the world leader in luxury brands. Thus, eLUXURY is uniquely positioned to provide its customers with the insider's edge on the hottest trends in luxury. And, because of the trusted relationships we have with all the brands we carry, your customers can shop with confidence. eLUXURY is an authorized e-commerce retailer for all brands presented on the eLUXURY Web site and guarantees the authenticity of all products."

i think, all in all...it's not about buying a lot but buying the right one. after buying only 2 seasonal bags,a seasonal shoes and few bags(which is less thank 60k obviously..), i get a VIP treatment the next time i went to LV. i mean, the thank you card, the free gift and all. but most of all, theyll entertain me in the VIP room everytime i go there.champagne is served and i just order anything from the catalogues, the SA will bring it in for me.

age is not a problem too i think coz ive just turned 21.

and thats my personal opinion tho... =)
