My SA is very nice to me and I've never nor would I ever kiss tushy. We always go out for coffee and even had lunch a few times.

For me it is better to deal with the same person than to get a new person every time you are in the boutique.

i dun kiss the SA's backside too, i buy their bags and pay their wages so they should be nice to me.

however i do want to become a VIP cos i want the white MC bookmark.

so far everytime i go into the store i get different SAs so probably why i never got close to anyone of them.

I enjoy the company of my SA and we both enjoy LV, no butt kissing, just a nice and pure relationship. I frequently buy LE items and I shop in the store fairly regularly. I have never received a "gift" nor a thank you note, but that does not make me think any less of our friendship. I am always greeted with a genuine smile and a hug. I receive honest advice on all of my purchases and get phone calls to update me on new items. Thus far the best thank you has been being able to get all the LE items I have been interested in. I hope to be invited to an event and someday be a VIP/VIC, but I think to assume that people kiss their SA's butt is a little off the mark, just IMO. There are plenty of other people I am sure that share this same relationship, no butt kissing!

blah... it`s only butt kissing lol. IMO, I think it`s all very much mutual, like, I kiss the SA`s bum and she`ll kiss mine back even more lol. I use people and people use me, that's how the world works. I've said this a long time ago: there's no real relationship between a SA and I. As much as I say I LoVe my SA, I know that she's a cunning one. Whether or not others think I'm truly sucking up to a person doesn't affect me at all.

I would agree to some regard, I mean we both have a purpose and want to OUR desired result, but by no means do I alter my regular behavior to please an SA nor do they, i.e. butt kissing. For example there have been instances when I have not gotten an LE item from my store because I was not high enough on the wait list, rather than kissing butt to try and climb that list (which may/may not work, I have no idea) my SA is always very up front and lets me know and I do not skirt the issue with them, I come right out and ask and then track the item down at my plan B locations. I think the crux of your point though is dead on, at the end of the day it is a business for all parties involved.

What annoys me most is that after buying much from the same SA, having a 'supposedly' good relationship and all that CRAP, I am still not a VIP. No thank you cards, free gifts, champagne, etc. I only get the catalogs by mail and invited to some seasonal events. That's it. STUPID VIP CRAP. lol

it would be nice to be a vic, but i think i'd rather have an SA who knows my taste and offers me honest advice when making purchases.

question though. if you get invited to events, does that make you a vic?

I don't think so. I'm not a VIC and I was invited to an event last week.

Well I don't think I spend enough to become a VIP so I just enjoy being able to buy what I can afford.
I am lucky to get to the store a few times a year so have neither the time nor the inclination to be "sucking up" to an SA.
I do send my SA a Christmas card but that's about it.

I'm been invited to events too, even received a monogram stationery set, and definitely no VIC.

Forget being a VIC at this stage, I just want the SAs to know when things will arrive! :p

I have one particular SA that I always purchase from. You do have to buy a lot of stuff(not just bags but shoes, as well) from them regularly in order to be included in the VIP list. I shop at the LV store at least 3x a month. Plus it helps if you have an 8 year old daughter who's a regular customer there, as well. Everyone at the store knows her. Got invited at the VIP party last june 19. Guests received name tags as freebies. I'm on the waiting list for the Miroir Lockit which according to my SA would be arriving before the end of July. They only have a few coming in.
