LV VIP Criteria

Everything I've seen/heard makes it seem like it's totally up to the SA. You're in Colorado, right? I go to the Cherry Creek store too, and I feel like they would tell you that there isn't a VIP program (even though my old SA gave us gifts!). I try to just focus on having the relationships with the SAs. I love chatting with everyone there, and they're really good with answering my questions and getting the LE bags I like - that's enough for me. :smile1:

How did you know I was in CO? Just curious.

I've become friends with some of the SAs at my local boutique, and every once in a while, I get drinks with one of them (she one of the managers there). During one conversation, she mentioned "VIC" (we were talking about how they always have champagne in the back for special occasions and VICs).

I didn't press her too directly about what exactly a VIC is, but she mentioned a VIC is someone who is a regular at the store, someone who has a good relationship with the people in the store and buys somewhat regularly. It appeared to be completely subjective. I mean, she said we can have champagne on my birthday, and I by no means spend tens of thousands of dollars on LV each year!

Sure, it'd be nice to be considered a VIP to get the little extras, but I for one won't be getting my knickers in a twist trying to 'get on the list', or asking at the boutique what it takes to be one - seems a little pathetic.

VVIC (very very important client)
accumulated have spent over a million

VIC (very important client)
accumulated have spent about US$60,000 or above

High Potential VIC
those have spent somewhere around 10,000-20,000

Potential Client
This could be anyone spend over a thousand on a single purchase

:D

There is no proper VIC program per se, but obviously SA's will give preferential treatment if they have a relationship with and/or the client spends lots of money in the store- Which is very easy to look up. Some examples of preferential treatment would be sending a client several bags on consignment, allowing a return that is way past policy, delivering a product to the clients house in person, mailing out look books right after the shows so client can pick out what he/she wants to order/pre-order etc etc.

All you have to do is...
Make yourself known to the SAs, know at least one VERY well,(ask for their card) be sure to have all your purchases through that person, and talk oftenly about new items, something that they can interest you in,

as long as they know you well enough to know you what you like,
you're on your way...

also there's a sign if they send you a thankyou letter to your house, congratulating you on your purchase, that just means you picked the right SA to shop from...

:yahoo:well shoot, I guess I'm on my way coz I just got my first thank you card in the mail!

iono.. i know some people that didn't have to buy RTW and recieve the MC Bookmarks and playing card sets...

once i was in SCP LV and saw a... i guess family?.. they were taking up the entire store really. anyway, i guess they had bought luggage, cuz just about every person was holding a GIANT box/bag, and then the SA disappeared in the back and came back out with like MC bookmarks, playing cards, and other vip gifts for everyone. i shoulda stood next to them and said, "yes i'm part of the family. gimme the luggage and the bookmark!" haha.. cuz it looked like pure chaos with all that.. i'm sure they cleaned them out of the keepalls, pegases and siriuses for the month!

too funny!!!! Bet you they were taking a cruise on a private yacht!

Complete and utter nonsense. It's all about your relationship with your SA, and establishing a love and knowledge of LV.

I have to completely agree with this. If they know you are a serious buyer, not just a looker, they will treat you as a VIC. Most retail stores won't put anything on hold for a few days unless they know you (I tried to hold a Chanel Maxi once for 2 hours until I could get into the boutique but they wouldn't do it for me). My LV store knows me and puts whatever I want on hold because they know that I will come in to buy it. Just be really friendly and nice with the SA's, make a few purchases and most likely you will end up as a VIC eventually. Stick with one store, get to know the store manager or one of the accessories/leather goods managers, and pick one SA that you like and don't give your business elsewhere. Let the store know you value them and their customer service. HTH! :D
