LV VIP Criteria

i also think another factor with determining VIC status is your loyalty potential. sure someone can drop $20k in one visit, but they might never show up again. therefore, i think those who consistently buy (a significant amount) year after year, would probably get more consideration than one time buyers.

i'm always curious about what the "guidelines" are, but i don't want to ask my SA because i don't want her to think that that's all i'm after lol.

i've been in the vip room in one boutique and its a lot of fun. you get food and drinks and a chance to see super exclusive bags. one visit i saw a les extraordinaires clutch. though the experience is kind of weird. the SAs bring everything to you in the room. i would rather roam freely in the boutique to do my shopping :smile1:

I was told that I am a VIC but:
- I don't get invited to the VIP room when I am shopping (but I have been in there a few times for certain reasons)
- I have never gotten a VIP gift.
- I have never gotten better service, sometimes they leave me totally unattended until I ask them for help.
- When I request the SA to update me on certain arrivals and prices, they never get back to me.
- I am sometimes given excuses (no enough stock or not in) on getting certain LE items.
- But I do get invited to certain in-store functions but never on product previews.
- I get to buy certain LEs but it is because I constantly hound them for it.

So what does the term VIC mean to me....absolutely nothing...just something they come up with just so you think you are special. VIC or not, I feel very un-VIC. :)

To answer your question, I think you will be a VIC if you spend enuf (could be any amount depending on yr store's sales volume/traffic) and they think you are a potential customer for the long term, they will call you that.

Hello Everyone,

I was just curious, how much would one need to spend in order to become a VIC member? Is it cumulative? Or is it a set dollar amount that needs to be spent annually? I have about 25 pieces of LV and was curious as to why I have not yet qualified.

Thank you in advance for any input!

I don't know, but you in your avatar is so pretty!

I will never know - lol. I would like to keep 90% of my money for my own private VIP room - haha.

But, I have so far bought a belt, wallet, galliera GM, denim Baggy GM & Kate Clutch - that's it.

I have about 25 pieces of LV. But as I mentioned, I buy them from all over the world when I am on vacation and never from one specific LV store/SA. So, I guess I will never get to the VIC status. It's OK though, I much rather bring home a LV from one of my many trips and have the fond memory of where each piece came from.

It isn't really about the amount of money you spend, but more so the frequency that you spend. They only select a handful of customers from each district to become VIC's each year. The decision is made by a group consisting of a high-earning SA and the store Manager. The SA's offer up suggestions based on SA to customer relationship, spending frequency and money spent.

Not all VIC's are considered equal - There are different tiers of VIC status. This is why some will receive premier invites, bag offerings and special gifts and others will receive mass produced VIC gifts, bottled water, etc.

It is MUCH easier to become a VIC customer in an area where there are only a few boutiques. Other areas such as New York, California, Nevada, etc where there tend to be MANY stores, it is far more difficult to grasp VIC status.

Holding on to VIC status can be more difficult than achieving it! That is where the money being spent comes into play. You need to maintain your spending and up the anti by purchasing larger ticket items. You can lose VIC status 1 year after reaching it and you would never even know it until the perks stop coming in. I am sure, it some cases, an SA would continue to do nice little things for you, but they would not be authorized to offer you VIP bags, event invites or things of the like.
