These are the pair I am wearing now:
I love them!! But I wanted something in warm tones.
Darn it was the Soupçon I was considering...
I have triad on a few variations of the bow glasses & all but one looked bad on me. There's a wire frame version of the bow that I adore, but I haven't seen it for sale in ages :(

I am trying to remember now, as I bought my LV sunnies in 2008 and 2009. The pair that were terrible in the sun were the smaller Soupcon version, I believe. It was too bad because they were a beautiful shade of red. The other pair I bought were a larger, rounder version, but if I recall, were called soupcon as well. That pair was fine in the sun. I still prefer my Chanels, though. I think Yoogi's may have recently sold a pair of the wire frame Chanel Bow sunnies. I bought the black pair with red bows and I can't wait for the weather to break so I can wear them:) If you really love the LVs, go for them. You may have a different experience with them than I did:) BTW~ I LOVE those sunglasses!! I bet they look fantastic on and the wire frame will match everything!! Fabulous choice!!

I prefer chanel to LV though must echo the sentiment that nothing compares to maui Jim for quality and customer service. I have no idea how many pairs if MJ sunglasses DH and I have own - it's an addiction - driving, running, boating - you name it, we have a pair for the occasion that requires actual eye protection. Everything else is fashion eyewear me and I do love my Chanels and the one and only LV that I will ever own (purchased before Chanel and Gucci - adore Gucci sunnies) LV quality doesn't measure up to my other fashion sunglasses. I'd rather ray bans - lol

I love my LV sunnies, partly because I have a terrible time finding sunglasses of high quality that look good on me. For years I avoided LV sunglasses - while my friends could wear them and look great in them, I looked like an old lady!! Then one day I was waiting for my SA to finish at the cash wrap room, and there they were... the perfect pair. They were the newer Desamayo cateyes which now are not available. They're wire framed and have little cut-outs.

I was in LV today looking for a potential Valentine's Day present and walked away without really feeling anything. However - I fell in LOVE with the Willow Sunglasses. I had never really paid much attention to their accessories - so I was curious what the general opinion is.

Do you feel the quality is any better than other high end sunglasses to make it worth the price? The ones I am looking at are $635. I think the most I've previously spent is around $450 on Tom Ford glasses.

There was just something about these that were SO chic and looked amazing, I just don't know if I can justify it or what the quality is like. I am very careful with my items and I don't lose sunnies - so no worries there.

Opinions? :)

Regardless I'm going to give myself a few weeks to think on it before the purchase, but opinions always help :).

I have a lot of sunnies and my LVs are by far my favorite. I don't know why...maybe the quality or how they feel on my face. I've also gotten more compliments on these then any other. Good luck with your decision!

I tried a few pairs on while waiting around in LV... Omg. The luxurious feel and look. I don't think anyone who hasn't tried them on will understand what I am saying- until I tried them I was wondering what the big deal was. The only reason I didn't buy one was because it didn't sit well on my face (resting on my cheeks)- but if I ever find one that fits well I will be all over it. I better start saving from now.

The quality is excellent and I almost bought a pair but unfortunately they didn't fit as comfortably as they should have behind my ears. If you aren't prone to losing your glasses and tend to keep/use a pair for several years then they are definitely worth it IMO. :sunnies
