LV Sunglasses. Worth it?

I tried a pair of polarized Chanel's today too, but I didn't like the arms.
The model of LV I like comes in a polarized option too... I've never actually worn polarized sunnies. How are they better?

Polarized are great! The example I give is think of when you look at a blanket of snow on the ground - it looks smooth and you can't see any bumps or imperfections. When you have polarized lenses, you can see all the detail in it. They're much better for your eyes, help cut the UV rays and glare, and helps you see details much better.
Sorry for the long explanation, I work for a vision company ;)

I have 2 pairs of LV sunglasses and I absolutely adore them. The very fact that I can only get them at LV boutique makes me feel good knowing that I cant get them anywhere else and at a fixed price. I do not have the " I should have shopped around for the best price" feeling.

You know that the tension in the arms can be adjusted. 😉

Yes, I do but they fit fine when I wore them on my face. It was when I put them on top of my head that hurt. If I would've adjusted for that, they wouldn't have fit properly when I wore them on my face. It was a personal preference that I should've paid more attention to in store. I was just so excited to find some that looked decent on me (most don't :shucks:) that I made the decision too quick.

I have a pair of Chanel and hubby has the damier graphite LV's. Both are great quality. However, I often reach for my prada bc they are polarized. Anything polarized is the way to go.

On a side note/rant - I am a member of a local fb group for buying and selling designer clothes, bags, nice furniture etc and look what was posted?! I was so mad! HOW FAKE! I reported her to the admin ImageUploadedByPurseForum1395708924.899587.jpgImageUploadedByPurseForum1395708933.116369.jpg
I found these in our sunnies clubhouse and sent them to the admin. The post has been removed ImageUploadedByPurseForum1395708959.498270.jpgImageUploadedByPurseForum1395708967.701292.jpg
The nerve of some ppl!

I apologize OP for getting off topic.

I have 3 Chanel sunnies and love them all, have considered LV sunnies, but just really didn't find one that I like and find the frame a little heavy. My go to however is my Gucci bamboo sunnies. Good luck with the decision.

I have the worst luck with sunglasses! There are a few pairs I like but they are so heavy. My SA said that they are top quality and are not made with plastic but from acetate which comes from cotton. I cannot justify the price tag for sunglasses because I am know I will sit on them or lose them. I'll stick with Chanel for now.

I used to be a sunglass nut. Loved changing them up to match all my different outfits. Had Coach, Gucci, Chanel, etc... Well, I still have several Gucci (good quaility, nice styles), one pair of Chanel (feel kind of flimsy now, missing some rhinestones, grr), Coaches are all gone I think... because I bought my first LV's (Obsession, they are called... and they also are mine!). I pretty much wear them daily (I live in Florida) and they look brand new. Very sturdy, comfortable and functional. I hardly ever can bring myself to wear anything else!

Wow, thanks for all the comments. I take very good care of my sunnies, so I don't mind splurging a bit ;)
I went & looked at Maui Jims today since so many love them & they all looked really bad on me. Oh well, lol.
Sounds like I do need an LV pair!

To be honest, I prefer Chanel Sunglasses. I bought a few pairs of LV sunnies over the years, but I sold them both and now only buy Chanel. This is just my personal preference, but I think LV sunglasses are overpriced. My LV soupcon sunglasses did not protect from the sun very well, and they always seemed uneven (one side was higher than the other). I have four pairs of Chanels and I still love them all. Just curious~have you seen the Chanel Bow sunglasses? They are my current favorite at the moment......

I own 3 pairs of LV sunnies and love them very much... Though lately i was thinking about buying a new pair of Chanel's.... I guess a good variety is good...

These are the pair I am wearing now:
I love them!! But I wanted something in warm tones.
Darn it was the Soupçon I was considering...
I have triad on a few variations of the bow glasses & all but one looked bad on me. There's a wire frame version of the bow that I adore, but I haven't seen it for sale in ages :(
