LV Sunglasses. Worth it?

I have 2 pairs of LV sunnies and love them both. I have one really older pair in a pretty brown that are kind of "cat eye like". They still look almost as good as the day I got them. So I already knew the quality was great.

Then, I fell in love with a Lily Strass Violet Glitter pair last Fall. It took a while to get another pair in the shop, but as soon as they did I got them. I didn't want them to get away again. Lots of bling and beautiful cut outs in the lenses, and the lenses go from dark purple at the top to light purple at the bottom.

I've been wearing them ever since. They're beautiful and very high quality! :sunnies

Hi all. What are your thoughts on LV sunnies? I usually buy Chanel sunnies for the quality, but lately there. Haven't been any that I like. There's - pair of LV though that have caught my eye.
What's the quality like? Do they hold up well over time? Are the lenses good quality? (I know Chanels are made by Bausch&lomb)
Thanks!

I've been considering LV sunglasses for the past few weeks but don't know anyone that has them, so this is a great thread, thanks! Like another poster stated, I wanted polarized lenses and don't see that available in the styles I like. Would love to see some mod shots though!

I'm not sure if LV's still are, but both Chanel & LV were made by the same manufacturer, Luxottica. So their quality is (was?) pretty comparable. Not sure about the lenses in the LV sunnies, but I have one pair and they've always worked just fine for me!

HTH!

I cant get myself to buy sunnies....no polarized lens in any style I like is the major deal breaker for me...I tried to buy but ended up returning it the very next day...I want the style of LV but the lens quality of Maui Jim's...
i feel exactly as you do---i have not been able to go back to regular lenses after polarized, cannot do without my polarized Maui lenses!

I too only wear polarized sunglasses. Once you go polarized you can't go back. I did find one pair of chanel polarized sunnies...I will get them in a few weeks.

I tried a pair of polarized Chanel's today too, but I didn't like the arms.
The model of LV I like comes in a polarized option too... I've never actually worn polarized sunnies. How are they better?

It's hard to explain, you just have to wear them the understand. For one, it's better for your eyes, and for me, I can see clearer...

I've never owned Chanel so I can't compare but I do love my LV sunglasses. I have the Obsession GM's; they are really comfortable, pretty and feel like they're made well. I had the Hortensia Cat Eye and while I loved the look of them, they were too tight when I'd put them on top of my head (habit of mine). The end of the arms felt like a vice around my head and began to give me headaches. Definitely try them all on and pay close attention to anything feeling too snug.

You know that the tension in the arms can be adjusted. 😉
