If you're going to spend 500 on a pair of sunglasses you might as well buy a bag instead. Plastic is plastic. People will spot a fantastic bag before they ever notice a 500.00 pair of sunglasses.

That may be true, but I don't buy sunglasses for anyone to notice. I buy them cause they protect my eyes, look great and make me feel good.

I think the only pair of sun glasses that are ever worth the high price would be the LV millionare.

Then again..those are a lot more expensive but they look fantastic! Wish I owned a pair. If you're going to spend 500 on a pair of sunglasses you might as well buy a bag instead. Plastic is plastic. People will spot a fantastic bag before they ever notice a 500.00 pair of sunglasses.

True.....but I don't buy my items for the attention of others, I buy them for my pleasure.

hmmmmmm...interesting.it all depends on you. like i just bought my first pair of designer sunnies last year..(versace) i ablsolutely ADORE them but i won't buy another pair for a very very very very long time because i'd rather have bags..but if you wear a lot of sunnies on a daily basis designer is the way to go.

ITA! I did not buy my sunnies for show. i bought them for the reasons you stated and also because i can go back to my optometrist anytime and order rx for them so they can be glasses as well....:yahoo:

I realllly dig my Gina's

I got the honey coloured instead of Pomme, and when I saw Rhianna sport the Pomme I really wanted to exchange but they were all sold out... :(

I honestly don't care that I spent over 500 for these. It's just the style and the FIT.

I'm Asian and I don't really have a tall nose...LV caters to us needs and have fits for smaller noses, and these Gina (east) fit me SO wel, much better than my Dior Glossy's which are way too big on me and fall off which was a waste of money for me...

The best thing to do is to go in the store and try them on.

If you find a style that fits you, then go for it baby!

I agree. If I buy these, I won't buy another pair for a long time, too

The Light Honey Gina's are the ones that I'm looking at also! I know that they're an older style, but they were flattering to my face and soooo fab! How have they held up for you, and how long have you had them?

OP,

The Gina's were the ones that fit me the best too! ^_^

I got them 2 years ago, and they are holding up REALLY well...but maybe that's because I'm babying it lol.

The sunglasses case is very durable, and it comes in a really nice cloth pouch. I don't have a single scratch on it, but I only wear her during the spring x summer months as I have no use for it during the winter.

I hope you find her!

Hi all. What are your thoughts on LV sunnies? I usually buy Chanel sunnies for the quality, but lately there. Haven't been any that I like. There's - pair of LV though that have caught my eye.
What's the quality like? Do they hold up well over time? Are the lenses good quality? (I know Chanels are made by Bausch&lomb)
Thanks!

Hi have a pair from both Chanel and LV. They are both very good quality so it's purely down to which style you like from which house. The LV lenses protect my eyes and the frames are very comfy.

I cant get myself to buy sunnies....no polarized lens in any style I like is the major deal breaker for me...I tried to buy but ended up returning it the very next day...I want the style of LV but the lens quality of Maui Jim's...

I have one pair of lv sunnies and 3 pairs of chanel sunnies (but I usually wear fendi ones.. Weird).
Between Chanel and lv, I choose lv sunnies- I feel they're better made.
LV's is usually pricier for sunnies (I think), but well worth it.

I have 3 pairs of LV Sunnies and one pair of Chanel, the quality of both is impeccable, they are very comfortable, and the lenses protect my sensitive eyes...I highly recommend LV as well as chanel sunnies! They are FABBBB :)
