LV Sunglasses. Worth it?

I purchased the petite viola pilote a couple of years ago. I absolutely love them! They are super light weight so they’re easy to wear and don’t leave those annoying dents on my nose! However, I don’t wear them very often, because I’m scared to damage or lose them. I wear sunglasses daily, but most often grab whatever is lying at the bottom of my bag... I feel like they’re worth it because the quality is there. But if I think about the cost per wear I really should be using them a lot more.

I would not invest in logo sunglasses like that but would consider another pair. I just think you may not appreciate all those logos in years to come. I have tried on LV sunglasses in store and really liked them but never took the plunge because I really have enough glasses. But they felt very substantial in store and if it weren’t for the fact I have enough sunglasses, I’d buy a pair. I just wouldn’t spend that kind of $ on the logo lense. Good luck deciding.

I don’t know if they still use Zeiss glass lenses but I really love mine. I bought my “attitude” sunglasses back in 2010 and they are still going strong. Probably some of the best fashion glasses outside of Loro Piana.

I have my cateye obsession sunglasses from 2014 which are still sturdy and in good shape. However. If you want polarized lenses these must be done separately from LV, and will require you replace the lens. So if the tint and grading is what you like but also want polarization, you may want to consider another brand. Very few LV styles have polarized lenses. And the lenses are not as clear as Maui Jims. I don’t wear mine when driving because I’m very particular about the quality of my driving lenses.

I voted yes as I'm sure they are very nice, and you can do the "worth it" thing for any luxury item, obviously you are paying for the name, and that's okay if it's something you love. I personally buy cheaper sunglasses as I have horrible luck with them scratching.

You’re not alone, I remember when I first saw these and I thought they were so cool but then at the same time they’re so obviously LV but maybe that’s why I kind of liked them and I really regret not getting them at the time I chose some Gucci ones instead but im not in love with them the way I would have loved these ones. The design is pretty cool too since I’ve never seen logos over the actual lense of the sunglasses. You’re making me think about getting them too now but il probably wait till summer since it’s winter over here at the moment. I’m sure they do them in another colour too if I remember the colour I saw wasn’t this one but more of a golden/brown on the lense about two years ago x

I have a couple and have always been using it ever since. The fit is awesome for my asian face. I have other designer ones and rarely use those since I got the LVs. My go to is the party sunglasses in black gray with the logos. The monogram logos are not too much imo.
I am actually planning on getting another one. I think it is worth the investment when you like the style and fit.

I only have one pair of LV sunglasses - Attitude - and they are great. Very good quality, much sturdier than any Ray-Ban or Chanel sunglasses I've owned. I've had them for years and they're in fantastic shape, I'm sure I'll continue to enjoy them for years to come. I wouldn't hesitate to purchase another pair from LV.

I was looking at the Charlotte recently but then realized they are rated for very minimal UV protection. It went off my wishlist automatically because I want sunglasses that protect my eyes plus look awesome doing it. If the Charlotte ever came out with better UV protection I'd be very interested-I love the way they look and the fold is super cool.
