LV Sunglasses. Worth it?

I was in LV today looking for a potential Valentine's Day present and walked away without really feeling anything. However - I fell in LOVE with the Willow Sunglasses. I had never really paid much attention to their accessories - so I was curious what the general opinion is.

Do you feel the quality is any better than other high end sunglasses to make it worth the price? The ones I am looking at are $635. I think the most I've previously spent is around $450 on Tom Ford glasses.

There was just something about these that were SO chic and looked amazing, I just don't know if I can justify it or what the quality is like. I am very careful with my items and I don't lose sunnies - so no worries there.

Opinions?

Regardless I'm going to give myself a few weeks to think on it before the purchase, but opinions always help .

Yes, I've had my eye on the Willow Sun Glasses too. It's on my wish list for this year!! They are beautiful and fit like a glove... let us know if you get them.

I bought my LV sunglasses (can't remember which style) about two years ago. They still look and feel great. Much better than any Chanel pair.

I don't regret my purchase at all. Good luck!

Has anyone tried putting Rx lenses in these frames? My optometrist said it was almost the price of LV frames to put in Rx single focal polarized lens in these oversized sunglass frames. If it were not for the fact I need them for driving, I would have indulged in a pair. Maybe I will one day but decided on a cool pair of Ray Ban classic Made in USA aviators in the meantime.

LV puts out some seriously beautiful sunnies but none of them ever seem to work for me since I need polarized lenses, especially when driving, otherwise I'll be prone to migraines. I also have exceptionally wide peripheral vision and need larger/wider arms to block out sunlight from the sides:noworry:

I tried some on last year and they were so lux.... they felt awesome on and I don't think I have ever said that about any other pair of glasses before. I am looking for the right one, because most of the styles so far seem to sit on my cheeks and I hate that. Eventually I will find the right one and when I do, those babies are coming home with me.

I HAVE TO HAVE polarized lenses for driving, on the water (boating, fishing, etc) or flying. I LOVE the look of some LVs, Chanels, etc but not worth it for me. I am pretty good with only one at a time, a pair will last a year to two. My hubby's can last for 3 years or more, but he is into Revo's or Oakley's. Anyway, I will never buy a luxe brand unless they are polarized. Another poster said Ray Ban aviators and yes, I agree on those too.

I have a pair of Revo's and they have to be to be hands down the best pair of polarized sunnies I've owned. They might not be as sexy as LV or some of the other designers but then again there's nothing sexy about having having a migraine, running someone over because of glare in my eyes, or having frames that don't fit comfortably.

Personally for the price of one pair of sunnies, I prefer Dior. I think their sunnies are edgy, modern and at the same time still classic, but with a twist. Plus their sunglasses cases are a lot more compact in comparison to the LV ones (unless you get the Sunglasses Case MM). Also when I look at the sunnies for either men's or women's at LV I find their designs either a bit frumpy and classic (sort of like Ray Bans with a twist, and I rather get Ray Bans), but I never seem to gravitate towards LV sunnies. But hey thats just my opinion! If you are like head over heels in love with it and you think that you are going to use it constantly, then go for it!
