I just purchased a monogram Neverfull mm and guess what? One of the clasps is completely off. Shame on me for not doing a better job inspecting it[emoji20] or am I overreacting? I have attached some pictures.

Oh yes Neverfulls and Speedys are the worst as I said. These two bags repeat have to be look at sideways and inside out. I think it's the amount that are made. You also have to realize some times these are returns that someone noticed before you but your particular boutique feels it is still sellable! Really hoping some one is excited enough to keep! I know it's a shame we have to do this but as someone mentioned above I have always inspected my bags from the very first buy. Again we have to be pur own quality control.

Your reverse pm fine scratches would bother me the most. If/when the canvas does tear, what's to stop LV from telling you they don't repair/replace torn canvas. I'd want your complaint in writing or demand they change it now. If not, then return it. Just my opinion. Beautiful bag though.

Someone always will buy a bag no matter what is wrong with it. Many Not on this forum will just buy and not check anything out. In other words, everything eventually sells.

Hi all, i have experienced lessen quality of my items aswell.
I got my world tour neverfull and this is the way the stitching is at the top. It nearly hits the canvas, an SA told me this was normal as it is handmade, should I go to another SA or manager or am I being to picky? The problem with this bag is that it is personalized so it can't be exchanged easily...

With my reverse PM the hardware is changing color after having it for 3 weeks, it only happened on one of the hooks and the SA called it normal wear and tear. I heard of others having the same problem and getting their strap replaced. My reverse metis also has really fine scratches on the top flap (it looks like a sharp knife cut into it) which will according to the SA eventually expand or peel and then cause the bag to show a true defect. And only when this happens I can come to get a replacement. Until then I just have to wait until it gets more visible which annoys me as I want to keep al my bags in the best condition possible.

My second PM in marine rouge has been in repairs for 7 weeks (I got it at the end of june and after two weeks I sent it in for repairs) because of different colors of the red glazing... My SA told me it should have been shipped three weeks ago and for now the status still shows that my bag is in the repairs facility in France.
If SAs stopped to take us for idiots telling "It's wear and tears", and "Our bags hare hand sewed"...

My neverfull had stitching problems too. Got it from Europe but didn't noticed it till I got back to Singapore... arghh

Live with it or change it? Do they change it locally if purchased from overseas?

Not all of them do. A good SA who actually cares about the client coming back will take care of you at all cost. Sometimes I think we have to really let them know what we will not stand for without being rude or pushy. If this is your regular SAthen I'd look at switching. Just saying.

A good SA will, but one who doesn't care won't. It's not the first time we read on the forum that the answer was "wear and tear" for known problems (Metis glazing, damier ebene Neverfull hanldes...).

Yes I understand that. But as I stated before the bags you mention have known problems from day one. It's up to us whether we want to take that chance or not - right? Because we know about the issues. Check it out I bought the PM knowing there are glazing issues have not had any problems yet but if I do believe me you I am not going to exchange for the same bag. I will take a credit and get something different. Problem is people are taking back and exchanging for the same bag! If I have to take a bag back due to an issue once not going to get the same bag for it to happen again. This is where LV stops exchanging.. .

Not everybody is reading Purse Forum and knows about defects in some bags. And if the SA says to them that what happened to their bag is "wear and tear" most people will accept it. And that find it totally unacceptable.

If several bags from the same model have issues, Vuitton knows this and the problem should be solved. I understand that somebody who loves a style and has a problem with the bag exchanges it for the same model.

I was told by QC assessor in store that the stitch tension on their machines is meticulously checked so that they are the same and constant. Because the idea behind that is that if they were to remove the whole stitching it would come out easier without damaging the leather. But looking at the stitches on your NF that is probably what's happened the stitching tension is wrong probably too tight causing the pulling and stitch holes to be more stretched and enlarged than it should be. If the machine was set wrong or not checked then there must be a whole load of bags that this machine stitched that potentially have stitching faults like this.
I would definately try and return this bag. It just looks like sloppy workmanship even though the stitching isn't visable because it's in the inside. Just because it is a LV authentic doesn't excuse them so that they can make it look like it's made by counterfeiters.

It's sad to think that those high quality replicas probably do a better job than LV these days... sighz

Look when spending this kind of money on a bag you should educate yourself whether the forum, google or you tube - so many ways to do so. I have been on the forum for some time and just back. But I have to tell some of the issues I have seen here are self inflicted. Not all but there are those that are. Okay shoot me for saying but I guess I don't understand having an issue and exchanging for the same bag depending on the problem. Do research before exchNging for the same bag. Chances of it happening again are pretty high. We have to use our instincts, good judgement and common sense - not what someone else tells us. Like I said when buying a luxury bag the excitement of it all takes over our good senses - we have all been there.

Different colours in glazing?!?! That would make it look like a fake

I was thinking the same thing but as both my regular SA's weren't at the store I got another SA 'helping' me who does not have the same amount of experience. At another location I did not get the chance to show them as the store was so overcrowded that over 3 SA's had to share a computer! Now I'm going to wait until one of my SA's gets back. Thanks for your advise !
