Mine too, for years. Not this time. It was a plain, no markings cardboard box not taped or sealed in any way. Weird.
I think as per UPS the box have to be kept open .Its their responsibility to seal and they must have forgotten .I have realised one thing ,the SA s whether LV or any other are most clueless .

Really? UPS is supposed to tape the boxes closed?
I agree about the online SA's - I usually know more about products etc ... via TPF ... than they do.

Yes ,I think they check and then seal as once I had to send something back by UPS and they asked to keep the box open and they would seal in front of me and give the tracking number .

That is weird. I have sent stuff to LV back by UPS at least three times (and of course sent many other things by UPS over the years - returns, packages to buyers, to friends and family....), and always tape the thing up like mad (I have no qualms about using all. the. tape). It has never been an issue, even with things having to go through customs (customs will just cut it open if they need). With LV, they send a return label and UPS just scans it in when they pick it up or I drop it off; they don't "check anything" in the box nor have they ever expressed any desire to check anything - it is already taped up.

Maybe it's different here not sure .Did you find something missing in the parcel ? Is everything ok as it should be .

I've never had that happen with UPS or any other shipping facility. I always have them all taped up and ready to ship. That's interesting. Are you in the U.S. ?

I enjoy learning psych stuff now that i'm a lot older. But realise I'm quite pants at understanding all the complex stuff. Poor dd has gone into hiding because she knows Ive still got a ton of questions unanswered in my head. I will bug her later . She has to really break it down into tiny pieces, repeat and repeat :-s for me to really understand it. To be fair although she does study experimental psychology her main specialism she wants to go into after undergrad degree is in linguistics, language development/acquisition. Ideally wants to be a post doc researcher in that field. But all those cognitive bias stuff mentioned earlier she's quite good at as it will have direct relation to her future profession, she would like to have her work published next year and all those biases she's really mindful of not making. Wishing you Good luck with your Phd:smile:
Thank you! Good luck with your daughter's publication as well. It is a tough business.
If you are interested in more heuristics and biases, Thinking Fast and Slow by Daniel Kahneman would be a good book to read.

But there has to be a point where common sense enters into the equation. One particular issue that bothers me is when people purchase bags that have well known and well documented issues, yet seem shocked and angered when they purchase that item and experience the issues themselves! And then proceed to exchange the bag multiple times in hopes of getting lucky and finding that one bag that doesn't end up with the issues! Granted, some of the fault for this lies squarely on the shoulders of LV.

LV pride themselves with utmost high quality which is part of their brand promise. I believe those fans just don't want to lose faith in what they believe and gives their favourite brand multiple second chances... Of course, I'd be mad too if I get betrayed.

I've seen sloppy finishes and got "hand made explanation" as well when I selected my first LV bag. In my opinion hand made can't be a justification of deteriorated quality.. Now I do regret telling LV I'm new to their brand because I'm being treated like a dumb donkey. I've issues with the date code which I became aware after puchasing NF. First, I didnt find the date code and they tried to convince me someone in their production might just have forgotten to attach it to the bag. My SA did search for it but didn't find it. Luckily, I got help here and found it. Then, I noticed the manufacture country on date code doesn't match with the made in tag. My SA denies the existence of the date code system now. It makes me think that my SA knew the issue but faked that she didn't find the date code. I tried to exchange but was told only faulty bags can be changed within 30 days of purchase. I completely felt fooled as a newbie to the brand.

In that case I would just return the bag and come back 1 hour later to buy the same bag again, I'm assuming it hasn't been used.

I tried to exchange but was told only faulty bags can be exchanged within 30 days of purchase. This is probably because I told them I'm new to their brand and they think I don't know their policy (which is true but their behaviour alarmed me.)

Prior to puchase they made me feel that everything can be handled quickly with ease if any issues occurs.

This is so strange, I would call Customer Service if I were you and try to get in contact with the store manager. I'm almost certain that it will work out for you.

I will be returning a scarf of which I thought the color would match one of my coats exactly. When I came home it did not (I should have brought the coat :).). I am getting store credit for it as that is the European policy, but there is no fuss whatsoever about being able to exchange a defective item only.

Hi guys, I'm a big collector of the Christmas limited pieces LV do... and this year I've had massive problems. Out of 6 things I've ordered - 2 have had manufacturing problems because they've rushed the items to get them finished. My azure giraffe mini pochette print was cracked and my Sara wallet print was smudged and something was stuck under the flap.
