But WHY does the bloody DM still refer to him as a Major??? Come ON, people! Get your act together! There's even a large clear photo showing his new epaulettes, if any of the DM Doofuses knows how to interpret them. If a dumb-arse Yank clod-hopper like me can manage to figure out his new rank, why can't the DM?

But in all honesty don’t give a hoot about “Meghan Markle” versus using her Royal title, which she has not earned and doesn’t deserve.
Sloppy reporting. In addition to their getting Lt Col Johnny’s current title wrong, they also say that he was first noticed by fans at the Queen’s funeral when it was actually at the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee that we first noticed him. And in the caption under one of the pictures of Princess Anne they refer to Anne’s daughters Zara and Peter walking with her. They should have said Anne’s children.
Exactly! How are we supposed to take a newspaper, or any other media source, seriously when they can't even get their facts straight? How much research does it take to determine the rank of a senior British Army officer when there's a photo of him staring them in the face?
As for the photo of Johnny And The Grifters (good name for a band) not only did tPF members post multiple comments about the photo and the event in the Hawwy and MeAgain thread, but even managed to ID some of the other people surrounding them across several pages of threads including several current and former members of various British secret services. Lady C spotted an MI6 head. And even Little Blue Hat Lady who looked like a character out of Midsomer Murders and was standing next to Johnny wasn't quite what she seemed. I absolutely LOVE those Jubilee photos!

Jonny is at Buckingham Palace today, June 14, 2023, at the King's Windrush 75th Anniversary Reception. There are several nice photos of Jonny on the Getty Images website but all are slightly fuzzy. One is attached.

Did anyone notice if he accompanied CIII to Transylvania? Or did CIII leave all his formal duties back in the UK and simply hang a "Gone Fishing" sign on his office door?

Don’t believe jonny attended - think it was the deputy private secretary. The trip is a frequent one and seen as his “total vacation” (I’d imagine now he’s monarch he still would have been receiving his morning red box but you get my point).
